I remember back when I started playing I picked void like every game, and I went mid, some guy told me to "void go bot" I was a CS player back then and the word bot is usually used as an insult (comparing said player to how trash the bot's gameplay anyway), so I thought he was telling me I was playing badly and I better get replaced by a bot, so I asked him "how do I let off the control and let the bot play?" like in L4D2 where you go idle and some bot replaces you until you come back

Also a guy abandoned because I didn't know how to deny
5 minutes later I went 8-0

I got flamed for popping bkb after chronosphere against sf

Just found out that using tango on branch gives you double regen, always thought ppl did it for style points, or for positioning purposes

I didn't know anything about moba, got confused from the map itself, died to a tower at min -1

back in dota1 times i always build headress for all heroes both support and core, since otherwise you needed to get back to base too much to heal! :D

when i was normal skill pleb and playing tinker i had 50 60 kills per game

my calibration games.

i picked supports (mostly dazzle) and autoattacked creeps and used heal to kill creeps. most games carry got tilted, went jungle and let me alone. I thought that taking the tower down as fast as possible is the goal right? Used shallow grave on myself because its my spell why should i give to someone else....

Needless to say i calibrated with avg 200 GPM 10 deaths 2 assists into 800 mmr at like 200 hours played.

never played ranked again until recently at 1,4k hours now i get matched with people like me back then and i literall can't play more then 1 ranked game because i would loose 10 IQ in the second game

Always rushed treads and HotD. If i have more lifesteal, i will win.

I used to pick wisp and farm safelane or lane with enigma.

I use every hero to jungle then and now

I remember in my first few games I got into a captains mode game, the players knew what they were talking about, good lanes (ATM I had NO IDEA wtf supports were) I fed hard and my team abandoned. Good times

back on wc3 when invoker balls order was a different skill, i didnt know how to learn spells. i thought you need 1 lvl in each to invoke a spell. so at lvl 3 i had lvl 2 E, lvl 1 W while using 3 E balls, and i couldnt understand why i spawn sunstrike instead of meteor. i skilled EEW, not EEE.

took me some weeks to learn what blademail is.

i saw my friend blocking creep waves, and i was proud for blocking the enemy wave..... "look at this bruh, they arent even moving"... until they killed me

got my account banned because some PA killed my riki with cleave while i was inv and i acused him of map hack, then flamed the shit out of him

hit my old pc because i died to tech's bombs and i thought i lagged and didnt see who killed me

i roll 99 out of 100, friend rolls 101 out of 1000, he wins.

didnt learn any passive skills because who the hell needs them. i want to press buttons

I remember that i used to build soul booster on every hero i played like sven and jugg cause i thought more mana = better hero

Played a lot of dota on wc3 platform but the recipes in d2 confused me- so id just carry around random items and recipes and sit at shops for 2-3 mins trying to figure out how to combine them.

I did not want to kill myself.

I was still 1st year in high school WC3 dota days year 2007 when it didn't matter which side wins the important thing is who has the largest number of kills, no item builds just boots and in my case Midas hahaha.

My first item that needs a recipe is Hand of Midas I mean it was good you know target creeps then it gives 200 gold and I itemize it on all of my heroes lol.

And also when vanguard was first introduced mass vanguard for every heroes hahaha man I miss those days.

when i started playing i thought recipes worked the same way items do, so there were some games i had like 5 recipes and boots in my inventory :)))

also at some point im pretty sure i used to build MoM on every hero, thinking it was most OP item ever

I bought an entire aghs at once as a first item on lich. Also there were too many hotkeys for me as i was coming from mostly playing CoD on my ps3 (god bless it was fun) so i wud buy mek on lich cuz the guide told me too, but i was too dumb to activate it and people wud just die around me flaming me to mek and i wud be confused af. I also thought that fatal bonds stunned for some reason.

My friend thought that ogre club looked cool so he bought 3 on troll warlord. He also purchased multiple aghs on that hero.

I have another friend who bought 3 pairs of brown boots on bh.

Im sure no one beats my friend. He stand in the base for 30 min asking how to move a hero. Then he told me the game sucks and quit

Im my first game, my team had a kunkka and rushed rapier after brown boots and he got killed but noone picked it up and my fren beside me was screaming for me to pick it up and return it to base.Back then i totally had no idea why he freaked out so much
Edit:the rapier was left at the middle of the river for idk how long.

My first game i abandoned cuz i kept trying to left click to move. I matched with my friend but he didnt bother telling me to play the tutorial.

i once died in the inside. was funny to watch from the outside.

also my first meepo game i died to creeps like 3 times the meepos were just in lane and creeps attacked them for a day and i died

My first ever game of Dota 2, I played Mirana. I got introduced to it by two of my Call of Duty buddies lol.

I trolled around and I asked how do I sprint? Then when they told me to eat the tangos on the trees I was like how do I eat my branches? LMAO

Now branches can be eaten. What a time to be alive.

Back when I was playing dota on WC3, I always build 2 vanguard on DK, maxing dragon blood 1st for ridiculously trollish health regen while dealing absolutely no damage in return.
