I have no idea why Valve seem incapable of simplification of the medal system's calculations since its conception.
Because MMR exists to make even matches and medals exist to make you feel good about yourself. Works like a charm in OP's mental case. Medals are designed to make it look like you are progressing even if it is not the case, so any attempt to make them skill-related is not needed.

just git gud..watch how high mmr players play..there is a player perspective ingame..you play carries..watch high mmr carries..how they play..why they are not joining unwinnable teamfights..how to cs properly in lanes when getting aggro..compare their games to urs..what move they are making that you dont usually do..just watch think and git gud..

Not to mention I didn't expect that you'd feed down the mid lane and other lanes because of random people not listening to you.
Maybe just reflect towards your actions a bit better, and people will support you in a long run.

Just played 3 games in 550 mmr in the id of my local friend . Won 2 , lost 1 .
In 1st game i was visage mid , i rekt everyone , took roshan and ended the game at 17 min mark .
In 2nd game , i insta picked brood mid, and they just luckily somehow countered me xD . They had es bara drow and some other bkb piercing stun hero . I made incredible decisions , but i lost in fight despite having a hugeee amount of gold lead , cuz their stuns pierced bkb and drow like 5 shotted me . Still won cuz i just farmed 6 items and manfighted them
In 3rd game , I was anti mage safelane . Wasnt really efficient cuz everyone just kept taking my farm , had to support myself and shit , so i got 14 min bf . Then i farmed more but they had a snowballing draft , again with drow (IDK what drow fetish 1ks have) . I was farming and split pushing while they killed 4 of my team at 25 min were taking my racks forcing them to react to me . Did this couple of times , and surprisingly worked everytime , but their riki sucked my mana and i had to die . They again killed my team , and i repeated the process again wonderfully dying due to low mana and they ended the game xD with 5 secs to my revival . And guess what my team had buybacks but they were afk .
So i think mid works the best for 1ks . If hard carry cant be that good , dont even think of supporting those assholes . They literally dont even think what they are doing .
Games are easy, it's just that my behavior score is D here, so people abandon, feed on purpose, ruin games/etc.
Anyone who still needs a proof that 1k mmr is hard to get out, same with 2k can just look up my ex. smurf I gave to a person who is actually owner of this account:
I think above 70% winrate on Slark, Meepo and SF in ranked up to 3k explains that even a decent player can climb out of trash mmr brackets.
If anyone actually wants to learn and get better, that's easy. Just look up for Cookie's guides which helped me a lot and his smurf accounts that he has over 80% winrate.

Mid is the eaizest way to win in 1k mmr, because if you win mid, people usually abandon or just give up. But you need to win it hard and fast. SF is pretty decent, even if you have to play 4v5.
I will have lots of free time in upcoming weeks, and I'm probably gonna be able to get out of 1k in a matter of days when I actually try my best, even with behavior score of D.

Bounty hunter had butterfly and Britstleback had Radiance. MKB is also a pretty good pickup on Sniper in general imo, one of the most cost effective items in the game especially against enemies with evasion.
