Ive always been stuck in 4 k -4.3k range previously in solo queue (reached divine 1 in 3 previous seasons, ~4.7k mmr) and now im stuck in 2.8 k - 3 k (archon) where everyone else also says they dropped from 4 k also

You realize you can solo win in legend right? I played on my friends legend account and it felt like literal bots. I'm sure me or any divine+ rank can climb from that bracket even playing with just 1 hand. Just accept the fact that you are not good enough and work on yourself instead of making retarded excuses.

I got to ancient 2 with 55% winrate and all of a sudden I was unable to win once I hit 4250 mmr, having series of absurd losing streaks and tilting here and there. This nonsense has been going on for like 2 years. Also specify that you can climb by playing certain pos 2 heroes and/or solo heroes. I don't like and can't play those, unless we wanna consider axe and some other offlaner solo heroes. Even then the supports I've had have been absolute griefers and imbeciles, the winrates with my best heroes (all pos 3s) all dropped by 5-7-10%, in the same or even a lower bracket.

Everyone is terrible in that bracket, you have to make the difference in the game. You have to win SOLO no matter how bad your teammates are. If you aren't able to it means you are not good enough. It's as simple as that. You have average performances in your games, if you were better the stats would show it. Try going 25/0 every game like smurfs and see what happens to your mmr.
If you can't play those heroes LEARN them like everyone else had to do. It doesn't matter if you ''don't like them''. You wanna gain mmr or no? If you aren't putting every effort to climb how can you be mad at the system for being rigged? You haven't done your part. Why don't you put in the work to give yourself the edge that everyone else had to do?
People just want things to come easy nowadays and it's pathetic. If you really want to climb you have to put aside what you enjoy and go for what gives results, or just accept that you will be stuck forever.

I've climbed from archon to legend by random picking (rank roles do not exist before), then from legend to divine using AM lol. One of the most significant factors that help you climb is that you're familiar with every hero, the spell cooldowns, and their needed items to become online, it is ok to not pick them in ranked games just familiarize them. (but when you play AM you just farm and wait for a free kill opportunity so that doesn't really matter, but of course, the efficiency of farming separates a good player from a bad player).
I've played almost every hero in bot matches so I have a rough estimate of their cooldowns and effects such as damages, stun duration, cast range, how big the AOE skill is, and how they combo their skills with other heroes. In short, a large amount of experience is required to climb.

@party players) yea I figured and deleted this trash game, the fact that you must learn certain heroes/roles you don't like turns a game into a job and what even is the point of playing then. I did put effort into it and had huge edge, winrate on most played offlaners ranged from 60 to 70% across hundreds of games for each. But being forced to learn some TA, Arc or SS to climb, are we serious?

It's not a perfect match making formula but I don't feel that its rigged. If you play like pros no way u wouldn't climb to at least Divine over time.
i mean it takes time but climbing isn't rigged, it just takes a fuckload of time if you only got 51%. In a fighting game or stracraft or even CS it takes 1/10 the time to climb to your actual bracket whereas in dota it takes hundred of hours to get to your real mmr, which is honestly wasted time, be it 1k or 6k

Some r getting better, some r worse. As for me, games have been pretty easy coz of the patch n the meta.

Hi guys, I haven't been playing for 1+ year and i wanted to play dota again. So I played on my 2nd acc to familiarize myself with the current gameplay, and i calibrated in archon bracket. Is it just me or people in that bracket are way better than a few years ago? It feels like I'm playing in high legend - low ancient bracket. I no longer able to win most of my games in that bracket like i used to (The last time i was playing i had ancient medal).
Btw any tips for the current meta and for a returning player in general?
