Went without it for like 15 days twice and man I've never felt better in my life not even exaggerating. Dopamine is a hell of an addiction, good thing i'm in the hidden pool cuz pc commits sudoku so it's getting boring fast. It's like life is telling me in every way it can to re-delete this life sucking rigged worthless shit
I beat a few hidden pool teammates earlier, instead of acting crazy like Sonichan. They made me first pick mid Monkey so to not lose gold get lane countered by necro, they proceeded to afk farm for about 40 minutes until starting to attack . Also didn't say anything to trigger anybody, even if we had lost all the ones before for years.
Learning about Chris Chan yesterday made me realize how bad the internet can be and the effect it can have on the mentally ill, and even normal people as well. Consider myself lucky I Haven't triggered the wrong person on the internet yet, but it's only just started to become fully integrated into the lives of every living person, including children. Probably because it wasn't like it is now and becoming 20-25 years ago.
If I've got game related things to say that don't carry the possibility of making someone upset, then can say them otherwise just playing what conditions the matchmaker offers in that time.
1040 atm and the last 10 games or so have been pretty easy. Was 380 4 weeks ago haha that shit was kind of depressing for a second...only because i've been playing for so long so i dont really have a valid excuse at this point. Behavior score has been 7000 for years....although I have a feeling when this one completes, it'll rise by max of 800 possibly. Only because i got matched with some players i recognize from a long time ago, like 2018, players who i 'hated', but this time my response to the cue(teammates i dont like) was different. I Just ignored it, and played the match normally, we ended up winning, and all 4 commended me, which guarantees no reports. And honestly if the matchmaker is putting me with these dudes still after all this time, then it's quite sophisticated and there might be some other factors involved as well, like maybe it remembers on purpose and it's not a coincidence. It's a test; are you still going to act like Sonichan when I match you with these players, Ray? kind of a deal
But damn, the game is a lot more fun when you have this kind of mechanical skill in your DOTA tool belt. I never thought 3 years ago I'd be able to farm jungle like I can with enigma; can get soulring+tranquils+blink by minute 10 without any mistakes without really thinking; could watch TV for example and do it. Most of the mechanical things done on my roster of heroes are nearly automatic now which is sweet lol. Allows you to focus on more abstract things like map awareness etc
Dunno if it counts for anything but most if not all my roster meets or exceeds the benchmarks of the average divine player, based on DOTA plus feature. If I'm not lacking mechanically anymore then what must be is my social interaction with team.
I dont understand people many times.
I have played this game quiet alot for improving and with my ignorance towards my teammates and enemies have made me have a very different mindset. (Not playing cause of exams will continue in end of aug i guess)
But people somehow tilt wayy too much in games even in low brackets its more worse.
Y'all need to quit losers and looking at other players mentality that we just lost cause he did this or that.
But how do you get over the fact that Gaben match make you consecutively into two last pick morphlings where the opposite team already first picked AA?
Do you still blame yourself?
Regards
Gecko
^ easily triggered kids, in 1k bracket matchup mean nothing.
Maybe try no to tilt yourself over draft, which has 0 impact in your bracket.
Lost the count of how many times I carried cry babies like you, who would just start spamming "we lost" in the 1st minute of game over draft in 2k mmr. LOL
At low mmr, instead of trying to copy top ranked players and talking about draft and shit, learn how to get last hits. You would go a long way.
Some low mmr animal flamed me(p5) for securing the ranged last hit, meanwhile he is losing 2 lh every wave on meele creeps. Just funny how low mmr dogs have 0 ability to self reflect.
For ex. A spectre with 33/4 Lh/dn at 10 mins, has more pressing matters to improve than talking about how a draft is losing them the game.
Bet you probably didn't even notice that you suck, cause you got carried in that game?
it's not wisdom, it's just common sense.
Dogs can't even get like 60 lh in 10 mins on cores and then blame their losses on "draft", "rotation", "matchmaking", etc
The above would made sense, unless you have a hate boner for me like the other dog who was chasing me across threads. (ngl, it was hilarous)
So, are you saying AA is not a counter to Morphling and you should last pick morphling into AA every time?
Regards
Gecko
I'm saying, after 9k games, if you have 34/4 cs on spectre or 37/1 on razor at 10 mins, there's a good chance the morph into AA pick is not the top reason why you are stuck in low mmr.
Matchups, lane efficiency, rotation, pulling all of that are techniques to gain that "little bit of advantage" to pull the game in your favor.
The "little advantage" is useless if you suck at the basics of the game.
Simply speaking, you focus on stuff that has 30% impact while eating utter shit at stuff that has 70% impact on games.
But I know, it's very hard to acknowledge the fact that you are dogshit at the game, so you decide to blame stuff that's not in your control and take the easy way out.
Try this: As a core, without sitting jungle, set a benchmark to hit at least 60lh @ 10 mins every single game. If you are able to do it, you yourself will see a notable difference in your playstyle.
Or
You can keep blaming the matchmaking, teammates and random stuff for your losses, it's always fun to find another SLQ on forums XD
Wow, big wall of text trying to insult my play while not answering the question. So let me ask you again Goku San, at which MMR in solo ranked Dota play is it OK to last pick morphling into a first pick AA?
And why is it ok?
Regards
Gecko
Insult your gameplay? I just stated the fact.
You can barely get 40 cs at 10 mins while playing core. Note: I picked those stats from your winning games.
when is it OK to last pick morphling into a first pick AA?
Anywhere below 2k mmr. As it really doesn't matter. Most AA below 2k can barely land their blast, let alone having the patience to wait for morph and time the blast.
But again, if you are a equally shit core player, there's a good chance you might just walk into that blast. So I guess, short answer would be "Never".
To phrase it otherwise, even with a perfect draft, you can barely win if your cores are not even able to get 60lh at 10 mins.
My point:
1) Stop blaming others when you are playing equally bad.
2) Stop expecting 1k mmr players to not think and play like 1k mmr players.
So you said less than 2K MMR. Then You said Never.
What is your point? You contradict yourself? Make up your mind before you stay in your high horse.
Otherwise you look incredibly stupid.
Regards
Gecko
Did you miss the part, where I mentioned the condition for when it doesn't matter?
Well, not like I was expecting a 1k mmr player to have the mental capacity to process "conditions" and the Never with quotations.
Let's break it down.
Case -1: "Never", if you are equally bad player.
Case -2: Doesn't matter, if you are a better player. (aka smurfs)
Maybe if you had the ability to process conditions, you would not be a low mmr player.
Making same items every game regardless of enemy/team lineups + flow of game is also a common trait for players like you.
Tip: Learn to adjust to game, itemize/pick skills based on the flow of game and enemy lineup, you will win most games regardless of draft in 1k mmr.
"bUt I OwNEd wITh tHiS buILd iN mY pREvIouS gAme"- get rid of that mentality.
When Skills becomes greater than RNG & luck. You can last pick Morph into AA above 5K games when you start getting 6-7K smurfs who know how to abuse the hero. Yeah having AA is a bummer towards any hero with regen like morph but if your a morph player it’s certainly not that much of a deal as u can just delete Aa before the fights starts.
@Goku
So you are still not committed to admit drafting is a important factor in Dota?
Case 1- equally bad then never? Did I ever say I’m a good player? So if I go solo rank should I not expect the match making to match me with the same ranked people? So draft is not important in solo ranked?
Case 2- so why should Gaben match make me or any other into a smurf? Are you promoting smurf culture? Are you a bully?

Gecko
Wow! A blue star player totally invalidating your argument Goku San…. Guess that really make you look like a fool.
No longer going to listen to you.
Good luck.

Gecko
I like how Goku always acts like he is rank 1 immortal and has all the utmost perfect game knowledge about literally anything dota 2 related,
And then you see his rank being Ancient and you just cant keep the laugh in anymore
I think you have some reading problems, if you think what @Life said invalidates what I said.
Re-iterating my point.
Case-1: "never" if you are a bad player. - no explanation needed.
Case-2: Doesn't matter, if you are a better player. (aka smurfs). Now If I add Life's statement to it.
but if your a morph player it’s certainly not that much of a deal as u can just delete Aa before the fights starts.
There's no good 2k morph players. #fact
At this point, I just feel sorry for you, to not even have the brain capacity to process such simple information.
Even then, that is besides the point, my original point still stands.
If after 9k games you get like 25-30 cs @10mins while playing core heroes, you are gonna lose games even with the most perfect draft.
Simply speaking, you suck at the basic concepts of the game, but instead of trying to correct your own game, you keep finding external reasons.
Low mmr animals, want to climb mmr but don't wanna put in efforts to improve themselves. Yikes.
@ultraman, I don't try to act, I just write the stuff I know, straight and as it is. How you interpret that is not my problem. Salty low mmr players who get all pissy over facts is nothing new for me.
Wow. Copypasta a sentence out of context of a blue stared player and then try to ride the high horse e-duck as if your own.
This is really getting hilarious.
Keep being toxic troll Goku San.
Meanwhile as a paying member of the community I’m no longer engaging with you and shall send a ticket to the moderator.
Have a good day.
Regards
Gecko
The fact that you think, you are 1k after 10k games is due to external factors, is plain hilarious.
Well continue to be a low skilled, low mmr player. The salt is pretty top tier. xD
im afraid i have to agree on goku for this one, match up does not matter in mmr lower than 4k,
@gecko you have to learn basics of dota and so on being guardian after almost 10k games is weird
Well, I am afraid I am quite disappointed with your reply.
Do you not understand the concept that MMR is a number and only relative to the competition around you in a given match?
With all things being equal theoretically in a ranked match make does draft REALLY not matter at all?
Even when it is a deliberate self pick into a counter?
For the record I never once said I am a good player nor did I say I am a smurf that deserve better MMR.
I only complained about what I perceive as a potential grieving behaviour from some players.
The amount of vitriol and abuse you guys ply on low mmr players is shameful and I hope the mod would do something about it.
Regards
Gecko
“Do you not understand the concept that MMR is a number and only relative to the competition around you in a given match?

In 2K mmr no it doesn’t matter if you play better than your opponent. In 5K yes it matters as you need every bit of advantage to win.
I see this is going nowhere. You see to miss the point everytime.
Last attempt at breaking down the points and I'm out.
1) Players below 2k, have ZERO clue how to play around draft advantage.
2) As a result of point 1, In sub 2k games, as long as YOU play good consistently, you climb the ranks, with draft having little to no impact in any of the game.
I only complained about what I perceive as a potential grieving behaviour from some players.
3) You expect the 4 teammates to play good, while you can't even get 60lh in 10 mins as a core.
In 4k, I'd report my core for grieving if he had 30lh at 10 mins in a winning game.
Are you understanding this? You are playing at 1k mmr, you and your teammates are in 1k mmr for a reason, you ppl have no clue how the game works. Let alone using drafting advantage, which even 4k players have struggle with.
REPLAY ANAYLIS(10 mins):
You pick SB for offlane, half the time in laning stage you spent walking around in jungle doing literally nothing (You literally charged bot> stopped the charge at bot rune, walked in your jungle> hit a nc once > then walked mid > hit a creep once > then walked top while your charge was off cooldown). 10 mins in game, Luna has 61 lh you had 30. You got a few lucky kills early game, but instead of going for a aggressive item to secure the pressure, you rushed a hood against MK, Luna and CK.
13 mins, 3-0-2 offlane SB, is walking around with phase boot and hood. I didn't even bother watching beyond that point. But my questions is, you still think that morph into AA lost you the game?
You just walk around aimlessly half the time, why do you think draft would've mattered in that game? Expecting your teammates to carry you to victory while you enjoy a nice walk in the park?
So it is ok to condone poor behaviour at low mmr but high mmr you have to behave properly. Why?
Did I say that I am playing better than my rank?
So I play at low level mmr does not deseerve every bit of advantage to win?
So I am a low mmr dog and does not deserve anything in life?
You know you sound like a hypocrite and a bully right?
But its ok. If the mods allow such toxic thinking to propagate I know what to do.
Regards
Gecko
BTW the previous post is directed at the blue star player.
Non blue star monkey has been ignored and reported.

Gecko
I tried to explain my point in the previous two comments. Goku actually summed up the rest of the point quiet well but i'd tone down on the offensive behavior. This community is so toxic towards new players and i don't understand why. At Low MMR the only advantage you need is just literally to play better than your opponents. If you can't do that you won't climb regardless of all external factors.
You are entirely missing my point.
My comment is about poor behaviour and it should be generalizable across the spectrum of MMR high or low.
You already admitted that drafting is an advantage. To discredit this advantage that it actually exists in low MMR is disingenuous at best.
I do not see an entitlement to judge good or poor behaviour just because of a players MMR.
Regards
Gecko
Low Behavior is present in all brackets. Even in my 10k Behavior score games i still get mid player pucks dying 3 times in laning stage and amulet shadow griefing. But In Divine games Players know how to play around advantages. In Contrast , In low MMR brackets people don't even know how to turn an advantage for their own benefits.
So you agree that is a poor behaviour? Then it is a poor behaviour.
Whether or not the opposing team can take advantage of it is another matter.
I rest my case.

Gecko
It's been a year since I've actually tried grinding MMR or playing Dota competitively. I have about 700 hours for past 1 year of playing.
Here's things that happened since I stopped playing Dota daily:
- Went from 3.9-4.1k to 2.3k and still going down
- Behavior Score increased from 5.5k-6.5k to 10k
- I have no longer rage outbursts
- I managed to actually save quite good amount of money and my buisness is better than ever
- I moved out of my parent's apartment to live alone with my girlfriend
- I have a band that I play music with (i'm a guitarist) and I enjoy it
- I started enjoying other games (but nothing like I enjoyed playing Dota, honestly)
- I learned a lot about crypto and mining in general, invested money, made some new friends and lost some old ones
What I miss about Dota:
- Dopamine boost
- The feeling of progressing and grinding
- Old Feeling while playing the game that I just can't get back nowdays
While I didn't ditch Dota completely and I had no intentions leaving the game, it just happened out of the blue. I actually tried several times to get myself back into playing at least 2-3 matches a day, and even tho it started like it could happen I never managed to actually consistently play this game like I used to.
I don't know, but for me, life goes on for sure and Dota will ALWAYS have special part in my heart and will always bring many good memories.
So much has changed in my life in the last 1 year or so...
I'm a 30 year old man now!
Love it guys ! If i get 1k replies to this thread i will get back to playing and then complain here. We are all dogs inside ! Peace !
if u have motivation only for replies - dont do it bro, every day i playing with players whos dont want to win coz they play without any target (in mm)
