Colloquially its' known as the Socratic Method, although the technical term is The Dialectic. if you think someone is suffering from the dunning kruger effect you ask them a question about a position they've taken. people who actually know what they are talking about can answer such questions. however, people who are suffering from the dunning kruger effect are unable to answer questions about what they are saying.

way to miss the point. the topic of the original post isn't even specifically dota related. the original topic relates to human personality and how it plays out in a specific situation, in this case dota. yes, you could give someone like me a 15 minute rundown of how dota works and I could start telling you how behavioral psychology applies to dota.
dota is just one small part of the general, overall social environment. dota is not some unique, sequestered niche in which all normal rules of social interaction are suspended.
