Yeah, I thought that many times, will try it... will get shiva/hex as alternative... however the zip-orchid-dagon-vortex helps to insta kill most agi (pure hitter types that don't have too much HP ex. sniper) carries. At 3-4k mmr I don't get much carries in their team that have bkb and besides if they do pop up bkb... i just back off (mostly in solo, not in team fights) thus wasting their bkb, while i simply regen my mana... anyways replacing dagon with shiva/scyth is perfect right ? or any other items ?

Looking into your account i see that you are guardian 2, why are you writing something about 3-4k mmr( legend - ancient range) ? If i am not completly wrong guardian is <1500 mmr.
To the hero: Storm has a pretty good wave clear in laning phase, but struggles in midgame until he has a few items. My advice, avoid teamfighting with him if you are not 100% sure that you will win it. Two guys getting picked off? Dont go in, keep farming. Splitpush the lanes with him (always carry tp scroll, you can tp while zipping), position yourself on the opposite direction of the enemies. Start fighting as soon as you have like kaya/orchid/bloodstone. Even a bkb against some heroes.
Building the perfect storm is highly situational, other than kaya their arent must have items on him. Keep playing him and after 100 games you should have an idea on what to build. Also dont pick him into a pushing lineup. A decent lycan will end the game before you even have 2 items.
Thanks for the advice... I have pinned kaya in my build now just in case I forget. Many times (in hard games only) I skip BS coz it a quite costly.. and i rush orchid or sometimes some def items... i build dagon in case they are fragile glass canon so that i can one shot kill before the kill me... but yeah as per the advice I will try replacing it with scythe or shiva...
P.S: yeah m guardian 4 here, but on my smurf m archon 5 (3873k solo) that's y need some good suggestions and some plays where even in hard counters the SS rose to success :)
Open up some high mmr storm spammer db and get some replays. Watch and learn what they do and why they do it.
Thats what im saying, no way you can be archon and have 3.9k mmr.
The skill difference between 3.9k mmr and that guardian 2 is just too huge. A normal "nearly" 4k player would just go rampage in guardian 2 and have like 90%+ winrate which you dont have.
Did you bought that smurf account?
its okay if you are guardian. accept it and move on, pretending you are 4k will get you nowhere. First of all, a 4k player wouldn't ask basic questions like this.

Have been loving this hero damn too much for his mid lane. Need some advice on how to play him in the worst games (all try to counter u).
1. Get Linken for single targetted stuns/silence esp. blink initiation types)
2. Get Eul for AoE silence that are purgable like drows gust or DP's silence
3. Get Forse Staff for other type of silence like riki's smoke (eul wont help :( here)
I always get obs/sen3 in mid (incase my supp doesn't), rush bottle, then boots, then BS if good game else kaya or orchid if normal type, else above 3 in case about to get rekt. Sometimes I forget to farm (which I recently from Miracle that farm is as important as ganks/def ) where i need to improve a bit...
I really fell in love with this hero and wanna spam him for the rest :p
After lvl 25 even in the worst 20-50 games I have won by that tree talent that is damn useful defending. The only few games that have lost as SS are where our whole team got rekt from beginning and they end it in <30 mins (which is a perfect strategy) or very few times when I forgot to farm up with the opponent carry (this is now improving).
Not looking for some guide, but the worst plays u have encountered with this hero and yet won by adapting ur items/game play :)
