Don't ban Phantom Lancer. Play people PL is good against. If you're fighting a guy called SOUP, who always plays PL, feed him. Then you get to be on Radiant side 120% of the time.

Dire has more advantages actually. So u should be happy about it.

For me and my friends we all have like a 5% win percent advantage on the Radiant side... I have wondered about how the sides are picked too. I have about a 100 games more played on the Radiant side than Dire... If it was completely random, Im sure my 3k+ games would have evened out by now.
