not a tinker player but you usually build agha when the enemy has 2-3 heroes who deal a lot of physical dmg(or a troll, tb, sven, heavy right clicker)
Hex to disable heroes during team fights and to do pick offs
Dagon mostly for pick offs and nuke-dmg
I usually go for all of these items. Travel, Blink, Soul Ring and Kaya for early game then go aghs scepter and dagon afterwards. I then sell soulring and kaya to buy hex and eblade. I have 48% tinker winrate tho feelsbadman
so if ur stomping just get lens dagon, kaya if u can end the game quickly
if ur defending pick up aghs instead of dagon

usually if ur doing the aghs build and need more dmg u can pick up dagon later, but u usually dont need to pick up aghs later when going dagon first.
if u buy kaya then its the first item u sell.
however aether > kaya, so only get kaya if u think u can end the game with it

aghs if you teamfight a lot. dagon if you wanna fuck around and just kill people (not a very good item tbh). hex if you need disable a lot (you should always eventually buy this item though).
well obvious thats a bait since its not rearmable but it is a 7th+ item, every 80s u can deal 400 dmg to buildings relatively safely from trees.
personally I prefer aether lens over kaya, and the cast range talent over spell amp though I'm only a 4k pleb and I try to avoid taking risks. aghs laser still does a ton of damage without spell amp. even if you don't get the kill it costs them more time to go heal than it costs you.
most games I'll go aether then aghs then hex. sometimes aether into hex if there's just one enemy hero carrying idk like a storm that keeps jumping the only support that can disable him.
^got matched with inx tinker in a solo q game and he went aether lens dagon and stomped. very gud tinker player

Kaya can be nice but most of the time I feel like a faster dagon is more useful to burst heroes.
Aghs after aether if i'm vs an illusion hero and my team has no other hard counter to it.
Against storm/antimage its good to get a fast hex after aether lens.
Against clockwerk you need a force staff before or straight after blink or he will solokill you all game
he didnt say why its bad but i can see why, scythe and dagon are both better options for the amount of gold you spend on aghs
But still those two item doesnt give much teamfight presence than aghs plus it also synergize well with his lvl 25 talent
Perma disabling someone and deleting someone is still team fight presence
Aghs team fight presence is nice, but if they don't have like 3 right clicking cores it feels underwhelming, and ur dmg is super spread so it's harder for u to burst someone
Kaya seems like the most overrated item in the game,

just follow my build im a tinker expert and u will have around 70%WINRATE WHEN U FOLLOW MY BUILD Always go bottle soulring bots blink aether then u go dagon 5 when your team need dmg or aghs-hex when playing against ember-am-and other heroes you cant kill solo
he was casting a summit game where he said it, i think it was a fnatic game where abed was playing tinker dont have the exact time stamps
Can you explain why kaya is good on tinker?
16 int and 11% more mana gives like 1 extra spell mid game and late game other items just give more mana and therefore more spells
its ok, the spell amp is also good
what ur saying is true, but people dont factor in cost
sure kaya doesnt give as much mana as hex, but its over 2x cheaper
kaya also scales nicely the more mana u have, cuz of percentage reduction
the biggest problem is that u need aether and other things more
if they make kaya + aether with a good active it wud be insane on tinker
