I dunno. Not even sure Valve knows.
What I do know for sure is that I calibrated at 2608/Archon 0 and lost one, won one, lost one then finally won one more to get back to 2608 and am now Archon 1....
Well, i havent played my since, like 6 months ago. Because im stuck at 2400 MMR.
now since you can recalibrate, i tried it, and spam my sign hero, 8 win and 2 lose, calibrated at 3.1
i dont know how this system works, but if you play better, you can increase what bracket you're in (im currently normal / high)
Its actually confusing. After I got archon 4 I lost 3 in a row then won 3 in a row then I got to archon 5
Hey I just had an idea from jacked. since we don’t know how its recorded, what if walv says behaivior score affects how high you climb. People will probably be a whole lot nicer
This system Still works on MMR... Its in your profle each Medal is Valued at a range of MMR. If You Go 50/50 with like a 51% win-rate gaining MMR you do not move up a medal Just MMR. It will signify your a Higher MMR Lower ranked player: For example you could be a 4150 Legend 4. https://i.imgur.com/8GcflTZ.png
If your scores and win rates are that of a better player even with Losses it will move you up. I have a friend went 8-0 Moved from legend 2 to 3. I had another friend at Legend 1 Win 3 Lose 3 then Won a 4th and Moved up to Legend 2. Its just a Range of MMR now
When I calibrated I went 5/5 and was placed at 4190 MMR Legend 4. I am currently at 4250 but still Legend 4.
You should check how much mmr you gain after every game. It's not a constant -+25 each game. It varies now. For example one game I lost 24 mmr but I gain 27 in the next game I win. Overall it's a benefit for me.
did anyone ever saw a medal going down in rank? Like getting legend after losing streak for someone with ancient medal?
What happen to me is i move to archon2 straight to legend4 can someone explain me that
I dont get it too, I jumped from archon 3 to legend 2 also today. Can someone explain how climbing works now?
I just win a game... and i lost one star... what the ****? so u can loose stars?
I was at Legend (0) the other day and I had 3 games played with 2 of it being losses and 1 game won. Surprisingly, I moved up to Legend 5 with the same MMR. I don't get this. How do they (Valve) decide to rank you up? I've played decent and mostly cores although I sometimes play positions 4 and/or 5.
I calibrated at G2, won a game and went to G3, then played a few games variety of wins and losses, mostly losses :'-(. Then the next day I played a game and lost, got promoted to G5.... How's that work!
