they tried different captain and drafters in between, but as soon as jabz switched to support he was back in captain seat

What do you think about Envy being a carry and shotcaller at the same time?
EE started as a support I think back in notidehunter days? Anyway I don't think any EE team will go very far, he's just not up to par with other position 1s or 2s. He plays old school farming dota as well which meta isn't as suited for. Yeah team secret won china major 2 years ago with him, but that team was pretty stacked throughout with misery and wee, who went on to start their own team and had pretty good success.
New secret can't really be worse than the old one I guess. Probably a middle of the pack team.
Being carry and captain seems pretty rough. It's hard to watch the whole map and cs/deny in lane whole team. Supports are roaming and thus have down time to look for plays. I feel like even though ppd was captain of the TI winning EG, fear contributed a lot to their drafts and plays from the 2 position.
it depends really. there's a reason why supports are usually captains and shotcallers
at the same time though, pretty much every team ive talked to has a similar dynamic in that supports make early game calls and carries usually make lategame calls
but well, EE himself admitted I think that support would be a better carry position, he wanted to support for DC after all before joining Fnatic. I think his style can still work, but I think its generally more difficult to captain as a carry
