SF is a multi-faceted hero that has to build items customized to fit the match-up. There is no build that works for everything.

Best build , nobody should tell you otherwise ))))))
no cookie cutter build but I think i heard miracle say it once during an interview that he likes to buy the shadow blade build against split pushers.
for sf i think the playstyle depends on whether you go 5 man or the gank build (sb).
lance madness sny/manta seems like the go to build for pros.
Goto build that works most games is the shadow blade
Pike bkb. Blink aghs kind of shit is just cheesy
Naw man you guys all wrong, mek SF for life kappa
In seriousness though, SF is one of the most versatile in itemization, so there's no clear-cut build. Blink Eul's Aghs may be considered clowny, but it could still certainly work, especially with the damage per soul talent at lvl 20 means that you're not handicapping your right click anymore.(but IMO shadow blade aghs would do the job also and is cheaper)
Only thing that is core without question is BKB
Generally the two builds that work are the 5 man style build where you rush dlance+sny/bkb and just group as 5 using your early farm lead to deathball or the shadowblade build where you split-push and apply map pressure/get pickoffs in order to build a huge gold lead and win with that. The hero is very flexible and you can transition between the two styles as necessary (for example go fast dlance -> 5 man tier 1s -> go shadowblade and play more farm/pickoff style).
previous patch a lot of people liked going dragon lance into shadow blade but now it seems like it turned around again
one question since i dont place SF: can SF start casting ult and then blink to the enemy without breaking the cast? (i dont think so but need confirmation)
