rofl you do realize that least played is imbalanced as fuck right? you can literally play against or with 3k, 4k or 5k players despite being 1k yourself. Noone really plays that mode.
Also there is no way in hell that valve could make bots as good as actual players, that would be a hell of a coding work.
Yeah I know they can't make em as good as players. But still. Their decision making could use a big improvement. Now they just look like a bunch of retarded kids trying to decide if they should run or attack and just run back and forth until they die. Also going past the other teams tower, just cuz its the shortest route. Dying in the process... say what you want but even 1st time players don't do that.
Regarding the least played being unbalanced. I pretty much agree with you. Maybe i can try my luck in a normal or ranked game. But i feel i'ma just fail over and over.
But hey. Practice makes perfect.
I feel like the bots get a bit worse every patch. Very hard bots just walk around collecting runes until they eventually 5 man for the rest of the game.

i forget the name of the script, but browse through the descriptions and you'll see a tree-bloodseeker lineup. That works pretty smooth. It only deals with 5 heroes and curses in russian. Plays better though :P
Same problem, I usually play bots when I need to just warm up or practice manta dodging or teamfights or knowing certain hero's limits when they get certain item, like, how far can you keep on killing enemies when you get your first major item, such as veil, heck or even skillshots. Because one thing they're good at besides their obnoxious 5 man charge is their godly reflex to dodge/cast spells.
Oh yeah, try using the custom game called "ranked AI matchmaking" or even "pub simulator" is good and a slightly better than your usual unfair bots.

bots give you a false impression of your hero limits. on hard/unfair, we eventually get to a place where bots run from you, don't use stuns on you because you're so far ahead. and because you're like 10 levels above all of them because you farmed on the map smartly while they are all straight-lining down mid. doesn't work in real games, even the low bracket games that I'm in.
hard/unfair bot games are actually great for l/h practice! they nail their denies and zone a lot. but you should forget getting any value out of bot games past the laning phase.

So I keep thinking i'm getting decent at a hero when i get a few rampages in a botgame on unfair. Yet i get totally shit on even in a "least played" match. I know i'm shit. But at least dont give me false hope and update your AI...
Are there any decent scripts availible you guys can recommend? Or has no one botherd to make any.
