shadow blade is pretty cool
bkb is a must

You know he is not a late gamer, alright? He favors skirmish kinda fights and not 5 vs 5 fights which happen late game. You should win by the 30-40 min, otherwise he often sucks late game. I think he has 5 potential builds: Recommended ganker build(AC for physical damage or Heart for mix or magic heavy damage), Nyx build(Dagon, Eblade, scepter), Aura Underlord build(Vlad, Pipe, Greaves, AC, Urn...), Bristleback build(BM, Armlet, Lotus Orb, Heart) and bash build(AC, Mjolnir, MoM, Moonshard, MKB). I think his build is totally situational.
I'd focus on buffing my team.
Vlads/AC/Drums/Urn/etc.
But who am I to know. Just a suggestion.

I am playing Spirit Breaker as a ganker a lot and the suggested build has been quite helpful. Urn, Silver Edge and Echo Sabre are great on him. So what about other late game items:
- Due to the change in meta, it seems active tanking items like Pipe, BKB and Crimson Guard are not favourable with him anymore. Is there any reason to pick them up?
- Heart, in my opinion, is better than Assault Cuirass because it works well with Echo Sabre, delivering +80 damage upon 2 consecutive hits. The armour reduction does not really help because most of Spirit Breaker's damage is magical anyway. Heart is also helpful in disengaging, taking some time to heal up and then charging back. What do you think? Why is Assault Cuirass core but Heart is not even suggested?
- Scepter is core on him? My take is that the cooldown reduction does not help since two charges and one ultimate are usually enough to finish off the enemy in a gank. In teamfight, unlike Viper's ultimate, you do not want to spam Nether Strike because if both teams are having a hold-up, it can put you in a difficult position. Additionally, since the enemy will see you praise the sun, they will get away from each other. I don't like this item.
- An alternative take is playing Spirit Breaker as a hard carry. In which case, Maelstorm and then Mjionir is required. At level 25, you can perma-bash the enemy with 34% bash chance.
So what are your opinions on building items on Spirit Breaker? Any advice would be welcomed.
