maybe it considers your last 100 or some other number of games for the division score, and by playing a new match u eliminated some older lpq 2k average game from the sample?

dotabuff ranking is bullshit.
opendota considers only matches won and avg mmr. so if u are 3k u hv no chance at all.
i dont think 64th SF with 3k mmr will win 100000th SF with 6k mmr.

I've won 1v1s against 5ks/6ks several times, yet I never claimed 1v1 means something.
Ranking is not bullshit, it's just not optimized very well.
You're 6k, get your ass and let's do 1v1 just to test things out.
At the end of the day, 3k and 3.9k isn't the same shit.
zdonfreek just butthurt because dotabuff ranking doesnt place his riki above the guy with 400 riki games and 94% winrate.

yeah, it's not like I'm 1000 years away from 4k anyways. It's just that I've been around high 3k low 4k for past 8 months or so, so I bounce back to 3.8-3.9 and eventually kick in into low 4k, and cycle repeats.. xd
Also Zdon is stating the obvious. A 6k player will play better any hero in a real match than 3k/4k people, so he's kinda of right.
It's just that rating is inflated anyways low 4ks, mid 4ks and so on, so it's not like I'm the only one with low mmr and top 100 on some hero

I win games in pretty much 3.8/3.9k avg. games and my place goes from 61 to 85.
Then I lose game in 3.8k avg and all of a sudden I jump from diamond 3 to dimanon 5 and i'm 72 SF.
What's happening? How does this shit work, because I clearly don't get it.
I know system isn't perfect, but I'm just confused. Why would I go from 85 to 72 when losing in the same avg. MMR,and go down from 62 to 85 when I win in the same avg?
