You dont have to ask someone to play with you to get vhs-you can pick a strong hero and deal the biggest number of damage in the game/create account and be the best in hero damage for 5 games or so and you will get at least high skill-at least.Look at my account-this is another smurf
you just have to really carry normal skill games
i also think that randoming helps.
like this was a scrub normal skill account and when i came back, this was the first game https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2910027011 after that i immediately got into HS. then a massive win streak followed in HS and got vhs. my current ns games are either the result of stackign with 1k players or a massive low priority losing streak and intentional feeding.
