Timber is an easy way to gain passive for MK. If Timber can't nukes him fast enough then good luck stopping him from destroying you.

pick ursa. initiate upon him, dust if shadowblade enrage (keep overpower ready)= gg. doesn't mean that this is counter to the hero though.
Pick zues and buy aghs. Use ult and go cast nimbus on mk position. MK cant do shit if he is on tree. And also MK is a bullshit that said not even gods could stop him lmao.
Slark :)) I don´t know why people complain against MK when he is counterable by so many heroes. Slark can´t touch him until level 6, then he destroys him(with proper farm and itemization)
Literally 2/3 of the hero pool counters him without too much deviation from their normal item build. Any hero with a stun, disable or silence counters him. Any hero that would carry an item that stuns, disables or silences him is a counter.
Drow and slardar are two of my faves since gust/crush arent blocked by linkens.
Storm, beastmaster, windranger, venge, batrider. Disable him and he dies. Force him out of ulti and u can win teamfight. Storm is also rlly good. Breaking trees isnt the hard counter, its just icing on the delicious bm and wr cake.
He's generally countered by stuns and burst damage, so anything that can lock him down and kill him quickly is a soft counter. Lina, PA, TA, Ursa, Sven, Wraith King, Bane, Techies, Zeus. He counters most other tanks / manfighters, though I've seen a centaur + tiny offlane combo tear him apart.
Timber is good but only later in the game if he doesn't feed like mad (which he will if you send him alone against MK in lane). Honorary mention to beastmaster for vision. A monkey caught out of position is f'ed.
I think someone that's tanky and build blade mail could works on him. Just be sure to activate BM before he gets 4 hits on you.

Lycan and visage imo r counters in the sense they take mk's towers before he can do anything. Also pudge cant do shit, mk just walks up and hits him to death
Just tried spectre against MK yesterday, feels like 55-45

vision and good burst/disables, seems pretty good.
Enigma works pretty well early on because midnight pulse has a really big aoe and a fast cast time.
Just ran circles around one with a roaming pos 4 Enchantress. High mobility + heals + inability to smack her = sad monkey.
According to the worst vs page, high mobility heroes are his natural counter.

Visage counter him really great, my last match was me (visage) vs enemy MK, every time MK jumps, just direct your familiars to the rough location of the jump, MK would be very annoyed.

Honestly I dont think venge is a great counter to mk. The range on her ult is so short in the early game that it's hard to swap him out of his ult.
