i played on my 2k friends acc the other day and i can honestly say i wuoldnt lose a single game in that bracket
It has already been done. Unless u have a different slant to your mmr experiment? What exactly is your hypothesis?
No purpose required, just for fun. If you want a purpose and point so bad, I can list a few:
-Modern replays, low MMR who want to climb can watch the replays and understand the game better
-Proof that MMR is mostly working as intended
-Statistics that we can bring up in the future, e.g. "3K's will win 70% of games in 1K, 4K's will win 90% of games in 1K" or "4K's will win 80% of games in 1K as a support" etc.
-Future reference for those "Yeah, I'm 3k but I deserve to be 4/5K" people.
-Prove once and for all it's not the team, how they feed, how they draft, that's the issue, but how you play.
We can be more extensive than the other experiments, we all know Juice's experiment but we don't really have a "Support only" experiment, etc. Sure, juice played carries and won but we can also show in this experiment that it's possible to climb even as a support and whatnot.
I'd be willing to smurf for someone to start this off.
i have 60% winrate low 4k, 90% winrate low 3k. i lost 1 game in solo 3k because i have downs syndrome and 1 in party q clowning
however i was sleep deprive + extreme anger when i played on the 4k and lost 10 games almost in a row lul, next 20 games were almost straight win win win win win
Yea it would be nice to have such data I agree.
Id be willing to do a 1k plays in 0k mmr experiment. What if I have 90% winrate on some heroes and 20% on others though?
Whenever I even get a single sliver of good RNG I get buttfucked for the next 10 games. So like I win 1 game I maybe shudnt have then lose the next 5 to bs. Some of it mine. But still tilts me so hard. Can't climb for shit.
this was up 200 mmr, 4100 to 4300 IIRC. made a huge problem for myself by tilting and throwing about 9 (some semi tough) matches
I'd like to contribute.
One time, I pilot one of my friends account to do a charm prediction. That account is bout 2400mmr (I'm a mid 3k).
So I pick one of my hero and the best hero in that bracket (imo), which is Alchemist (my alche has a avg 888gpm 680xpm on 27 matches, which is good i think).
As I remember, on his 2 charms, I won 6 out of 7 games. One lose is when one of my teammate rage quit (but we almost win that fight. Lol)
So in conclussion I think, a mid 3k can win bout 60-70% matches on mid 2k bracket. A 1k mmr difference makes impact.
Now, I wonder if a carry player like TripleSteal or Cookie pilot a mid 2k player?
3k is about a million times ezier than 4k. 4ks have just enough brain cells to possibly disrupt whatever im doing
Here's a friend's account:
I say 85% winrate because I afked in a lot of games due to toxic teammates who don't deserve to win tbh. This data kinda sucks though because it's a mixture of 3 digit MMR games starting from 200, to 1k party games, up to 2.7k solo games etc.
i think if i spammed slark i could win every single 3k game, with 0 or close to 0 exceptions
Pretty sure ive already done this experiment most of the time its like playing against bots lol and some times i throw for the luls xD
am i the only one who remembers?

@OP Something similar but not related to smurfing was already organised and maked a really good point.

http://www197.lunapic.com/editor/ > effects > blend two images
you need to find a way to crop out the background in order to blend it, i use the poor mans method of opening powerpoint and using the remove background feature, or you can also find images online with background removed already
are you serious about that like share sub? gonna do that for real if you werent lmaoing
thanks
the feature is pretty weak, if you just dump a random image and use the background cropper you might get poor results i think
what i did was i used this
https://clippingmagic.com/
but that thing isnt free, you need to pay to download the image
so what you do is you take a screenshot of what you finished cropping, then you upload that image into a powerpoint and use the remove background feature
idk tho im a noob still maybe wht im doing isnt good
and maybe you should just pirate photoshop and use that
idk i just use paint.net without plugins and i'm pretty satisfied with my meming game
no but theres a steam guide for getting your artwork + screenshot showcase to sync with your background

it's not a sire it's an image editing software
http://www.getpaint.net/index.html
it's free, simple and has enough functionality for u to do most of the stuff u'd need without flooding ur screen with 573587239 features when u just need to i.e. crop a picture and resize it for ur avatar
I've lost some sub 2k games I've played in a party with some people, because I could not get used to how bad everyone is. But after a few games I have a constant 75%+ winrate and games are really easy.
spent 20 bucks trying to craft this, and failed

I thought about why haven't we done something like this... so I made a thread, hopefully something comes of it.
So basically we'll need volunteers to lend accounts with certain MMR's. We'll get 1 - 9K volunteers (9K would be a dream) to play on 1K, 2K, 3K accounts, 100 MMR accounts, etc. with over 10 - 20 games we'll see their winrates and categorize them in this post.
It'll look a little something like this:
Is this kinda stuff allowed?
