Yeah, that happend to me just yesterday. They dived me behind T1 and I prisoned myself. I still died, but I got always atleast on of them cuz they tanked the tower and creeps in the meantime

why is this viable?
@Alice it's not but the astral spam seemed to make a comeback cause it can help clear creepwaves and push heroes out of lane esp. melees

People don't seem to understand that 2,3 and 4 k are mainly the same players as 5k with a bit less knowledge about dota and a bit more mistakes made during the game(positioning, item build etc.)
adding to it that at least 20% are smurfs or account booster adds a whole other perspective on the situation.
^Tbh, I did play a quite a lot with 4k players and sometimes even 5-6k players.
Of course the was a huge difference in the matches, but I never felt like I was out of place...but yeah, in the end it was only NMM

Stop being dellusional. Even difference between 4.5k and 5k+ is HUGE. Game tempo is just something u would never handle right now and get reported every game with a lot of offensive language towards your gameplay.
When I see a 3.8 k guy in my team, eg. playing in a party - I dodge that game - sure lose.

In the 2k and 3k bracket people get BKB usually quite late! They underestimate his damage output and the most important thing (!!!) is that you can save your sorry teammates from dying and feeding by putting them into your lovely astral prison.
I cannot say how often I saved a life with that.
