If you can maintain a 50+% winrate on ranked games, you deserve that mmr. :-)
But just like defianc3 says, try to get better if your from 1k.

it must be party mmr, you can play solo mmr after around 150 games. i think your solo mmr will land on 2k and you will drop down to 1500 after a week, sorry man but get better. making new acc wont help you in the long run.
Funny enough I calibrated at 3.1k when I started. Rose to 3.2k and then dropped all the way down to 1.6k. Now I'm mid 2k.
Are you actually a new 1k player? If yes there will be high possibility ur mmr will drop from 3k.I suggest you juzt play unranked for few month to learn how to survive in ur bracket

Got 3,290 MMR that's great for me. I have a lot of room to improve in order to get to 4k. At least I know where I stand. Nicenice! Smurf or not. I'm happy to have created a new account and that 1k mmr sucked! So happy! No more smurfing for me! :) I'm happy
