Because unranked and ranked are completely separate. I get exclusively high skill when playing unranked and exclusively normal skill when I play ranked because I didn't play much ranked, so my MMR has been in the calibration zone for almost a year.
Unranked pubs don't use your MMR, there is a separate "hidden" MMR which matches you with others of similar skill. Though it seems strange you would be matched with people so far below your rating, I find it improbable to believe you reached 5K without having at least 4K+ unranked.
^There are a lot of people who reach 5k by playing ranked exclusively after they calibrate, and they haven't been playing dota for a long time, so they boost themselves from like 2k to 5k in a matter of a few years, but they leave their unranked at 2-3k since they play it so rarely, and when they play it they stomp the shit out of games.
actually the all the skills refer to the average of the game i think. because when i stack i also get normal skill even in ranked
why do u care ? normal high or vhs all sucks unranked match is where u practice and having fun
why u playing unranked match btw ? if u dont want to play rank matches for any reason just make smurf account and play there so you can calibrate new account and see what mmr u can get at least there is some fun in that there is no point in playing unranked matches on main
i just play 1 ranked match on main acount every day and if i wanna play more games i just go on my smurf accounts and playing there
