with the previous meta and probably this new patch, meepo is still useless.
Almost all games got counter to meepo (not one but multiple). so play meepo only if you are good and dont ruin game :P
And once they buff meepo again then you can start trying your hardest :v
meepo is pretty bad honestly.. maybe he can work in some pubs but theres so many heroes being played in the meta that counter him, plus if u have a good start and cant take rax with the advantage, when u die u give 5050505050 gold and 3123213213213212 experience to enemies
He wants to be good with the fucking hero doesnt matters if meepo is shit in this patch ;)
In some situation where meepo didnt get countered he is a realy strong hero and can carry you even in the late game
How to be good with meepo ? Idk man im bad with him
i tried to play him and had some success (won games solo in 5k with no hard counters) and i can just tell u to keep playing it and get routine with the hero. if u dont play daily its not worth it to learn him imo
Meepo is insanely good on very high skill bracket on ranked if u know how to play him. I have almost 70% wr on VHS bracket though only 51% overall.
I dont agree with people saying that he's shit. They just dont know when to pick him and how to play him. Also enemies never expect him.
Key to win: Pick last so u are not counterpicked. I strongly suggest locking Safe lane on mini map, so if enemy counter u hard u have time to pick other carry. Meepo also works very well combined with 1 more carry and an initiator like Tide or Axe.
NEVER pick meepo when enemies have:
1) Winter wyvern - If u are farmed, his 1 ult makes your clones kill tha ultied clone in no time
2) Lich with scepter - Very hard to micro clones
3) Sven - absolute disaster to play against
4) WD - If he is on your lane, you cant get any farm.
5) Axe - another disaster, though if u manage to farm faster than him, he is food
Meepo is stron against:
1) ANTI MAGE nr 1 counter - Am cant blink while netted
2) QoP - Same - Cant blink
3) Enemy team with not many disables
4) Undying - kill totem in 1 second
5) Phoenix - destroy egg in 1 second
Meepo is also not the most difficult to play. I find Chen and Visage more.
Item timing:
1) Free farming
- brown boots and scepter by the minute 12
- blink dagger by the minute 15
- then start ganking or farm up your boots to whatever u like (i like treads)
2) Average farm speed, agresive enemy lane but your team is doing fine and does not need your help yet
- Treads by the minute 5
- Scepter by the minute 15
- Blink by the minute 20
3) Very hard lane, your team is losing
- Treads by the minute 5 (then jungle)
- Blink Dagger by the minute 10 and start ganking - u need to come back asap. If u fail its gg, but it would be gg anyway cos your team losing.
Treads, scepter, and blink is a core. Then it depends. If u play against heroes like Storm Spirit or Ember Spirit u will need Schyte of Vise asap. However if u need to be more tanky get double Skadi and Heart or Eblade. It all depends.
Forget about mekasm, vladmirs, boots of travel untill late game.
Time window for meepo is approximately 35-40 minute of the game. After that he begin to fall off to enemy carries.
It's just hard to use him tbh.
100+ games into him and I feel like a piece of shit on him and I'm fairly upset at how I'm unable to breach the higher skill ceiling on him. Yeah, sure its easy when you're 10 levels ahead and rape people with blink poof. But it's a whole other thing when you see players like Icex3 do stuff like kiting, dodging and everything at the lower levels or from behind.
