I played wc3 with black map but then switched to normal in Dota2.
I don't remember much how it worked in wc3 but I know that when I tried it in Dota2 it felt kidna weird, probably because of that vision thing you mentioned.

Anyone who has played warcraft dota, observed that black minimap has a light blue hue in places where his team have vision. For the player's who're used to have black minimap,Alluding to that, I'd love to see an option in the Dota 2 settings, which allows me to have a bright blue light for vision in black Dota 2 minimap. This light would have to stand in places where we have vision, around towers 1,2,3, whole base and around observer wards. Would u agree or disagree with this, i consider this just as an option for the player's who are used to dota warcraft minimap black edition ? :)
