I think the biggest change is his zombies will always take 3 hits to kill so cleave damage maelstrom etc isn't as strong
But then again I don't play undying so I can't be sure

Tombstone Zombies now require 1 attack to kill rather than having 30 health (zombies require 2 hits from creeps)
It's just because it is very hard to clear the zombies. You used to be able to cast various spells (like quil spray) that would clear them out. But now you have to attack each one. If you have 5 zombies on you and when you decide you want to retreat you have less than 35% hp... it takes a typical hero 1.3 seconds early game to do an attack so.
0 sec 5 zombies hit you => 205 dmg
You kill one zombie
1.07 sec 4 zombies hit you => 164 dmg
1.3 sec You kill one zombie
2.14 sec 3 zombies hit you => 123 dmg
2.6 sec You kill one zombie
3.21 sec 2 zombies hit you => 82 dmg
3.9 sec you one zombie
4.28 sec 1 zombie hits you = 41 dmg
So total dmg to retreat from 5 zombies is 615 dmg. If you don't have 615 EHP remaining you are already dead. Early game, if you took any sort of dmg in a fight, you won't make it back out.
So you have to be a blink hero, and not use blink to attack, or be an invis hero and not use invis to attack or carry smoke, or have an invis item already farmed and not use it to initiate.
Killing the tombstone was already very hard to do in previous patches. It still is.
Cause people are too retarded to kill tombstone first and instead they're hitting zombies :)
u use tombstone> if people dont hit it you win early game fight, if they hit it > heal it > you win fight cuz they die to your teammates.

Tombstone has to be focused by the whole team like the Phoenix Egg. If only one or two heroes try to kill it they won't be able to finish it because UD can heal it 480 every 6 seconds.

^ based on my understanding, each enemy is a separate damage instance when using Soul Rip
id say thats a nerf, refraction/tree armour stops it, pointless nerf since soul rip doesnt matter early game
Hero is broken as hell btw rofl
he is ez to play in normal skill games, strong in early/mid game. this 6.84 deathball meta favors strong aoe midgame-hitters. undy is still shit in late game and i recently won most matches vs him in 6.84. (except my last pa game, which was utter shit but that undy worse shit) his 60% wr this week will drop soon again.
It have allready been said that Undying is better now since he is strong early and the early game is more important. Compare to the year beast games in which he always was picked.
Also, UD has always been good vs slow paper heroes. And most of these heroes are picked more often now since they got directly and indirectly buffed.
