Why is it running at 12fps ? Crappy pc? If so you can't do anything, juste get a new computer

That was a good PC dota was running at 45-60fps (AT LOWEST SETTINGS), but these last days my PC is getting slower and Dota2 is running at 12-24fps (Lowest settings and 70%rendering)

P.S. Or play support, Crystal Maiden is just fine with 12 FPS.

Nothing is fine with 12 fps, my eyes get tired on 5 minutes, and its not only fps going hell, some of my clicks and skills are missed its like i never pressd the button.

you should have at least 60fps+

i have a much much weaker laptop and i have 50+- FPS on it. Settings are NOT lowest.

whenever i "open" an effigy. so i click on it to check the text and likes. so when i do dat i get ~18fps...otherwise i play with 50+

I played World of Warcraft with 2 FPS and I had no problems in arena or raids. I have better laptop now, but I still think that >30 FPS is a waste of CPU power.

BTW, I use "/console maxfps 30" in WoW to limit FPS. I wonder, is there something similar in DOTA?

I think TV standard is 24 FPS, isn't it? It was in the past at least... If you can watch 90 minutes long movie on TV and your eyes feel fine after that, you can play PC games at the same rate.

i could paste script that added +15fps for me... i also use shit 2011 lappy i bought for 300bucks but i can play dota at high settings 60fps...
or ultra at 25-30...

I had a GT 540M and it started to go from 50-60FPS to 30 to 12 like yours. I eventually had to get a new one. So I have a GTX 970M now :)

the problem can be partly solved via some console commands aimed to fix fps problems. i dont remember what do you need to write exactly, so ud better google it.

Ok, my fps are 40 but suddenly (every 4-3 fucking seconds) it drops to 11-12 (i think its 4-5fps really) it's happening the same shit on csgo and league of lesbians from 60 to 10.

I think the PC doesn't work at 100% allways, it goes to 5% then again to 100%

Download process monitor and process explorer, watch your running applications, something is taking your CPU away from Dota.

You might have a virus, or a app running that you do not need.

well some people have these problems because they dont maintain or clean their laptops/pc

i suggest from personal use and overclocking intel cpus since 2011

1) Malwarebytes scan clean ur laptop then unistall ( i dont ever use any antivirus or protection on my pc cause i know how to use it safe)
2) defrag hard drive of laptop
3) clean startup programms
4) unistall gpu drivers and reinstall new / check if ur pc is using intel hd graphics for doto and if ur laptop has 2nd gfx card select it to run for doto
5) check cpu temperatures with hwinfo or coretemp software ( overheat makes pc so slow that hapened to megapenis laptop and we fixed that by cleaning dust from it )
6) clean fresh install of windows 7 x64 Ultimate ( i hate windows 8)

i've had this shit cuz i was trying to improve my fps more than i had (60-80) and i wanted 120.
i used massive scripts and shitty programs and after i played with 10-30 fps lmao.
until i found out what was causing this shit i had to play gfor like 2 weeks like a retard with 400+ ping 30 fps gamingu.

so remember if you installed some shit/changed dota startup settings/changed pc settings/overclocking etccc
