PC based matchmaking ? in General Discussion

    Hello,

i would like to ask ppl if someone is familiar with how mmr works in dota. But how it works for different pc machines.
I have 2 pc at my house. 2 PC gaming master race and 1 laptop.
On laptop on many accounts i was steam reported many times. Created new account etc. But on this laptop it was always the same -> getting very very bad teams, not even remotely my skill bracket.
Then i started to play on my baby pc master and on same account i get only ppl with similar skill and or better.

Is it possible that steam flags accounts and pcs to create worse gaming experience for players abusing game ?

i don't know what to say... this generation is fucking retarded.

      Numberwang

        Illuminati symbol is triangle
Triangle has 3 sides and 3 internal angles
        3*3 = 9
There are 9 other players in the game, other than yourself
Valve has 3 games which are yet to see a third release
        9/3 = 3
        MMR has 3 letters
Therefore Valve = Illuminati confirmed to take ur PC data and ruin ur DotA experience Kappa

Trolls aside, how it is possible that on one pc i get only good teams and on other (flaged one) only bad lel. it would be 50/50 otherwise but its not.

@TheMajesticMadman - normal skill bracket shouldnt even be allowed to post :S....

I am unsure that the general IQ of new generations will continue to amaze me. Thought the human race was getting smarter.

Anyways, to answer your question. No. If you're abusing from multiple accounts its possible that you an account (not a PC) will get shadow banned. If you keep logging into the account on that is shadow banned, on the same PC then I guess it would be easy to derive that the PC and not the account is the problem.

I would suggest not abusing, and maybe burning all your PC's and starting again cause valve have already taken over your machines.

YES if u have i7 990x with 64 Gb ram u will only play with 7ks

Abusing games with sandboxie will get ur accs that are muliply running on the same pc shadowbaned for 2 days if u dont touch em after abuse on normal mm..
