Verified players are pro players who have competed in any of the three internationals, this does not include any tournaments or amateur leagues though you do get an esports profile for those.

I may have been a specific tournament e.g. "professional" but it's odd how it works as others like 4fC and PR haven't been verified
verified isn't about talent, it is about exposure.
