@OP
Hello! Just like you I'm an old 3k-4k mmr guy trying to come back to play dota after an almost 5-month stop. The new patch is somewhat suggesting us to play 50-60 min. games or something like that. Mistakes are crucial especially when you have your kill streak snapped (the bounty is higher than on previous patches), and I personally like this new patch. Heroes like Medusa, Spectre and the like are relevant again. "Fun" is a matter of perspective, though.
if you dont rage and ur not toxic all games are enjoyable... lose or win
come back home
games are a lot more enjoyable now than they were in the last patch, the the ti3 patch (from last September) was in my opinion a pretty boring patch too so this ones a nice change
Games are longer, wins are closer, maps have changed, heroes have change, it's a good time to come back
Are you guys kidding? This shit is miserable. Not the 6.82b patch, but the ranked AP. You get the shittiest lane compositions and people who get upset when they end up picking last and are forced into playing support. Well GUESS WHAT? MAYBE YOU SHOULD INSTAPICK INSTEAD OF BEING A P***Y AND WAITING TO PICK SINCE UR SCARED OF BEING COUNTERPICKED (cuz that tells me ur bad anyways).
You get those guys who go "me mid" EVERY GAME: you know that fucker is gonna feed. Game is over.
Ranked AP made this game 100x worse.
Ugh. What a rant!
...and what makes that special about ranked all pick...that can happen in every mode...ranked and unranked...

So i stopped playing dota last year in September, and picked it up for a few matches around TI4, and i'm thinking of starting again.
how are games in this patch? are they more fun and balanced? longer?
i'm a 3k to 4k mmr guy at most, so don't talk about pro games and whatnot.
