The API and the console report different numbers after each game. Since we only have access to the API numbers, we use those.
What the difference is, I don't now. The console numbers haven't been updated in a long time and date back from an early beta period, and have been known to contain mistakes (1000 seconds of stun, etc).

So lately I was checking the match's HD (hero damage) in console and its different than what its at dotabuff, how come?
