The search engine isn't perfect and doesn't update to your "new" tag all that often.
If you search for Blueblarflubar, your old name, then your profile instantly comes up.

General DiscussionHow come I can't find my dotabuff if I search for my name
So if I search for "Swift" on the searchbar, I get this page: http://dotabuff.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=Swift , on which I cannot find myself.
However when I log in I can see my page here: http://dotabuff.com/players/174773409 , meaning everything else is working fine (and that I have all the correct in game options selected).
What gives
