Normalmente me rio cuando alguien dice algo como " tengo 5k mmr " creyendose por eso mejor que los demas, es solo un puto juego.

getting some really skewed mmr matches... I had 2 TBD...with 2 other 3.2k against 3 3.2k and a stack of (2.7k &3.7) WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS...

its probably because your mmr is close to the starting mmr before calibrations, which is presumed to be around 3000. before you even have your mmr calculated, the game has to start somewhere, so it puts you in the middle of the bunch, sees how you do against them, and then next match, matches you based on that performance.

if you add up the mmrs of each team in the match you're complaining about, assuming TBD = 3k, the mmrs of each team probably be less than 1000 within each other, with 10 people, that's on average only a 100 mmr spread.

if you were around 4k mmr for example, you'd be less likely to see TBDs because you don't get matched up with people who are doing their first ranked games, cutting out many of the playerbase who have TBD mmrs.

because it takes into account the super-retarded playerbase of sub 2k players who don't even know to use their regen. that results in the mean mmr of the entire dota 2 playerbase dropping, thus lowering the standards.

also high is merely a relative word. there's no word from valve whether that's for example, the 90th percentile of players, or simply just the 55th percentile for example.

the issue isnt that people will now not be able to blame foreigners, its that their games will be much less frustrating in general
