he has extremely low hero dmg for veno which which will prob put him near the lower end of 3k
he might be able to reach 3.7k~ due to his party tho. Solo I would still estimate 3k~
How exactly does dmg output make you higer mmr? Some supports actually do support stuff and dont have the cash to buy vail, Aghas 25 min into the game
I think Sampson is simply implying that he doesn't deliver as much damage as a good Venomancer player should deliver.
I hear a lot of this hero damage thing, I think it's a terrible system. What if you play someone like Shadow Shaman? You could be a pro support and still get next to 0 hero damage. (Assuming you use your wards to destroy towers)
Apparently the way to gain in MMR really IS to just carry. Anyway, we'll see what I get eventually, 6 more games to go.
it is relative to the hero you are playing. I can guarantee the algorithm does not expect CM to do as much dmg as a medusa. Your most picked hero is veno which is prob one of the highest hero dmg output and most matches you are at the bottom. Calculations of your base MM is a estimate based on all your stats. Since I threw alot of matches prior to ranked(still do sometimes but nowhere near as much) I had a starting MM at like 3k. I got a ton of free wins to reach my true MM at 4k fairly easy though.
There seems to be a confusion on what makes a good support player because buying wards, smokes sentries etc is only step ONE
not sure if TD/HD is counted or sampson is just assuming
looking at win rates and KDA i'd say around 4k
prior to it being blocked from the console the algorithm was visible and there was ALOT of things being factored into your MM
