I don't know why anyone would save their credit card details on their steam account anyway. It's a minor inconvenience to enter the numbers every time but much safe if your account ever gets hacked. Same thing with amazon. My amazon got hacked once, they bought some game cards. I got the money back but easier just not to store your card there.
