IMO a level 1 stasis trap seems to have high first blood potential, if you chain stuns to counter the 1 second cast time, that 3 second follow up stun is easily enough to secure FB, potentially in a trilane?

I swear that everytime there was a techies in the enemy team he got a rampage, BUT when he was on my team he'd suicide to farm the jungle

Sampson how did you report in dota 1? Did you use garena? If so where on earth you report techies picker to?

Techies is not worth the development time; i would rather see wyvern released.
Early game: follow creep path = mines & stuns useless
lvl 6 tech: sentry when pushing (so at most tech can kill 1 with ulti at remote paths)
mid/late game: 1 gem + stick = 4v5

Max suicide and stats, go buriza mkb.

I played using the bots (DotaCash etc.) and used banlists with a added mod for teckies pickers being auto banned.

The thing with techies is he sucks up all the fun from a game, regardless of which team he's in and how good or aweful he is.

If he's bad, it's an unfun 5v4 game with an occasional dead by suicidal techies and so-obvious-it-isn't-obvious mines. Enemy team feels bad for techies team (unless they are dicks) while Techies' team qqs.

If he's good, he turns the dota2 game into a massive, more interactive version of minesweeper (oh joy...), enemy team will be pissed off from having to waste so much time just to kill the traps and not move forward while techies' team also won't have any fun produced by teachies because they are still playing 4v5, while he is mostly left to do his own thing.

Now, there ARE techies players who are both good and who commit to participate actively with their teams, to the point where they'll also participate in teamfights, but that's as rare as finding someone willing to support your Antimage in solo queue.

Techies is mega useless hero 900 gold for one gem and thats 5v4 game for you. Techies have almost 0 impact in fights/ganks/ cant also lasthit. Hero has lowest base dmg in a game. He can be a bit usefull only for first bloods at lanes if enemys are bad and also in some weird position bombs where enemy can die,but thats ONLY if enemy is so bad and not buy gem. If you can get fast gem vs techi is gg for you.

Regardless of if techies is effective to win or not, it's simply not fun to play with/against. CD mode only for me.
