How I play to my TA is play aggresive. Always try to have Meld Strike cooling down in fights. Also I usually only pick TA when most of team is squishy. You want to end the game quick, because as the game goes on it will be hard to blow up the heroes and you will end up getting out carried late game. For my TA builds I usually go glass canon build so thats why TA for me is a situational pick.
Learn to win your lane. That's one of TA's main strenghts. If you have a very good laning, you can snowball harder than most heroes. Always try to play aggresive. TA is nowhere near a hard carry because that -8 armor and 200 bonus damage for one hit won't do shit for you late game. Manage your refraction charges well. Try to be aggresive, but be careful against DPS heroes. TA still has a good HP pool compared to some other heroes, but that doesn't make you immortal.
http://dotabuff.com/matches/601554910 watch this game when you have time. I'm not the best TA out there, but considering I laned against a Phoenix/Jakiro dual lane, I can say I did really well. During the mid game I created a lot of space for our jungle TB to finally come online.
TA is actually one of the better late gamers, simply because she can farm as fast as AM while being more relevant early.
Personally I rush Deso after Phase in 90% of situations, going for ganks only if I get a haste/invis rune. 14 minutes is the timing I aim for to complete it, which requires almost every last hit you can get. This item is really great - it increases your mid-game presence significantly, accelerates your farm, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - TA with Phase/Bottle/Stick/Deso can solo Roshan by herself, although you will need to use your bottle charges while Melding and wait abit in Meld for Refract CD if Roshan gets lucky with his bashes. Get a Regen/DD/Illusion rune though, and Roshan is easy to finish off with full hp (m-click illusions on Roshan, don't use it too close to Roshan if you have auto-attack on).
Blink is a situational item that should only be gotten against heroes which are really irritating and love to stay back and throw shit at you (Silencer, Veno, Zeus etc).
SnY is a great item that lets you push an advantage.
Drums is an item I get when behind (faring badly in lane), or against 2-3 heroes that can break Refraction very easily.
You should be able to trade even in terms of farm for most match ups at least - while standing in for Flop's team I out-csed both Viper and Exort Invoker in two games - laning mechanics are necessary for this. The only matchup against which I would outright throw in the towel is probably Razor, that shit wins practically every matchup mid, even crushing OD.
Personally i get so much hp and mov speed ( treads drums s&y ) because i am kind of bad with the hero so i need every bit of stats i can get
It's funny, I've only played like 3 games with TA, but they've all been stomps. It just feels like I'm not doing that much when I'm playing her, but the scoreboard shows that I was doing most of the heavy lifting.
Sam, I watched your TA game. Why didn't you get a Blink Dagger. I think it's core on TA. Your positioning is crucial for initiating, escaping, chasing, etc. on a hero that should snowball.
What do you think of Scythe of Vyse on TA?

i wrote a guide for TA, i hope it helps.
Blink is a very situational item and should never be bought as a first item.
-edit- ah, i remember i wrote a guide on TA. Back when there was a Dota-allstars forum I had the most popular guide on TA, and I ported it to steam a couple of years back.

quick tip - ta against pudge is not a "confirmed or easy" win for TA, it really depends heavily on both player's mechanical skills.
here in this game Mushi didn't do too well in lane against black's pudge, although to be fair Black's teammates rotated mid a fair bit.
Also a classic case of rushing Blink, and not having the advantage to make use of it.
Why would I go dagger if I won't even be able to solo-kill anyone? Also against all that DPS it's not even useful for escaping.

Im totally trash at playing her and i play all female heroes very well.
Any way i can learn to play her decently. Should i make a practicing smurf account??
This is probably because of the bullshit futa versions of her on the internets.
