This is a good point, it would be nice to gauge yourself against the tops and see how many hero points you gain/lose from playing them.
Bump. A lot of topics has been made, this is the youngest I googled, about invisible hero score expect top50. I bought dbuff plus not only to check top 50 but to find out how far am I from them as well. Is it so difficult to allow everyone see his hero score?

you can only see top50 players, i'd like to see how far i am or other people from top 50
