started with 3.4k because my winrate in normal MM was only 51% ( :( ) and calibration didnt go too well. My goal is around 4.5k and im pretty confident I could compete there seing how some friends play that are rated 4.5k.

well valve made me start with ~4000... after ~80 games solo ranked im at ~4700
goal is to at least get to >5500 before it stabilizes
<5,4 k when u reach the front page players become muuuuuch better...all players below are just trash
so i d say 5,2-3k is easy to reach but above that line, i for myself can just come if i spam a hero like brood or ember constantly ...time will tell :D

Well, then I must've been doing smth wrong. As I said, since I was only rated at around 3.4k its not too hard to carry games. Won 8 out of my last 10. Me doing the draft nearly every game helps as well since I (at least personally) feel like I win the draft most of the time.
I wonder if there will be some barrier at which I can't have a big enough impact on my own or where people are better then me but hey, then I got some intense games coming :).
I'm at 5100 and the games are already too hard.
I still have no idea how I managed to ascend from 4900 MMR.
5.3k solo enough of solo for me koreans and chinamen populating the SEA servers for whatever reason and doing funky shit. anymore solo ranked and it will truly be road to 5k for me.

btw what is gonna happen when your uncertainty goes close to 0? Will you be stuck on your MMR forever or do you just rise slower?

If you will win or lose games you "shouldn't" by how system values you, your uncertainty will start rising
Currently 4585 solo rating and 4511 party rating. Considering Im getting 18-25 points from each wins and losing 27-38 points from each losses, it will not increase anytime soon. Im decreasing my points every day.

Yet didn't valve tell that sometimes even if you lose, you can gain points, instead of losing points? I'm not claiming that i should gain points from games like these but seriously losing 38 points? that's retarded.

I'm only at 3500. At this level if I captain I win about 90%. But when I don't captain only at around 50%. Frustrating to say the least. My hope is at 5000 that games are with all competent players.
4350 party, 3650 solo, bet none of you have that much of a difference (admittedly I haven't completed the 10 solo games yet)
started at 3.4k, went to 3.2k or so, now im at 3.5k. Its all about wins, and since you win about 50% of the time, playing solo AP gets kinda hard to increase quickly.
Just had the best game of my life solo queuing in Captains Mode (I know, what are the odds?) First game where I was confident enough to become captain when no one else wanted it. I communicated with my team and asked what roles and heroes they felt confident on. Ended up with a safe lane Morph and Rubik, mid Razor, and me as Veng supporting a Centaur hard lane. Me and Centaur were were up against a tri-lane with Mirana, omni knight, and a Viper. Rubik and Morph were against bristle and Razor was against SF we got first blood on the Mirana after she tried to dive and kill centaur and after that we completely shut down their tri-lane thanks to one or two ganks from razor and poor coordination on their part. The game was over before 40 minutes and I was six slotted with Mek, force staff, medallion, Urn, Tranquil boots, and wand. Game ended with me 8-0 and through the whole game I was able to swap allies to safety and (thanks to the early kills vs the tri-lane) keep everyone at full hp with Urn. Don't remember how much MMR I got but it's games like this that keep me goin.
