Need Suggestions. Should I smurf or continue playing with this account? in General Discussion

I was thinking of smurfing since It seems to be easier to create a new acccount and get 4-4.5 mmr rather than playing with this account (3600) until I can get 4k+
    Which one is faster?
    Don't flame me I know I'm a bronze scum

You need 150 games to start ranked games.

I doesn't really matter that much since the basis of your ranked mmr is from the AP games you've before. The difference is that it is hidden. All I have to do is tryhard my first 150 games and hopefully get a decent mmr

        Kermi

But I think you can get 4k faster with ur current rank (3600). If u really deserve for 4k u should do it faster than 150 games so u don't have to create a new acc.

EDIT: If u get 20points for every win and ur ratio is 66% its 80 games.

Well, I realized your right. But what if I stomp my first games on my smurf? Valve's anti-smurf thing would work on me and will place me in a higer bracket. But your suggestion seems to be easier. Guess I'll have to tryhard more

depends how big your rating uncertainty is

              Woof Woof

i would say create smurfs prac on wekeast parts of your game then create srs account or come back to this one

                Double Agent

But if valve puts you in a higher bracket, you'll stay there even if you lose and then your mmr will be high after 150 games

                  la the yeezy

If valve puts me in a higher bracket with my smurf, it is actually easier maintaining that rank rather than trying to get atleast 55% winrate solo queue in this account to get to 4k+ from 3.6k in a decent timespan

i have 3800 how long would it take to get to 4k ?
i have 0 information about this mmr stuff

                      la the yeezy

It's really hard to tell, since your mmr can still climb up even if you lost, but generally a win is about 20+ points average.
So I guess if you win 8-10 in a row, you'll be in 4k.

Just try that 3,6k MMR first
If you are struggling to get higher MMR, then that MMR is your real skill.
Higher MMR will make you lose more often.

                            @Above me is GAy
Btw. how much is your mmr. you seem to be doing pretty good even with less games

I personally wouldn't i don't see the point making a new account just to get somewhere you will be if you put the time and effort in, you don't gain any prizes or anything having a super high one. 3.6k is mine and is constantly rising. will look better at 4k with over 1k games played rather than 150 games imo.

No, it's not worth it. The games were really horrendous in non-ranked MM. I'm never going back to that. And 3k elo might be your skill limit anyway.

I'm sure that 3k elo is not my limit, I'll tryhard more then

                                    4k rating isnt any better
