If you like this game you shouldn't drop it only because of MM system.
Try to play on dota2 leagues.
For example: dota2.n-gage / ICCup
Also MM is not totally bad. You can try to start new smurf and if you are really good player you will play with better players.
Dota 2 have hidden ELO system or something
play ixdl its better than mm and you can report feeding on purpose etc + players actually get punished with hardware bans
if u ignore ixdl my advice for you is 2 quit dota 2 because u wont get any better players untill you reach top pages and to that you need good stack to stay very high winrate or tons of games with 53/4%wr you can also reach top pages with shittier winrate like 51/2 but it takes good 2/3k games
from my experience alone u can reach regular top pages at around 200/300wins with 57/60%wr but its fucking boring because you have to pick heroes that snowball strong and go mid at least every 2nd game
ixdl? Im not sure if its matchmaking or just my luck because my teammates have been just terrible the past few games mixed with them just leaving and the players don't wait

Try to make some friends and play together - I'm not asking you to stack for better win rate but if you're playing with 4 friends you won't be playing with any strangers (then you won't ever meet anymore of those abandoning/feeding/troll/iwhatever matchmake teammates).
Playing solo queue means you're definitely going to meet those people every now and then, although your luck is seriously bad to meet 5 abandonment players in 10 games ...
Maybe you can try playing another region or at a different timing from your usual gaming times (although you said you only had trouble the past 3 days).

lets be real outside of his queer stack there are maybe 2/3 players on this forum that can play anywhere near masons level
true, but i wouldn't exactly say ixdl-o games > mm games. they're about the same to me
at least you can flame in pubs and face almost no possibility of repercussions
and i will stand by ixdl-o > mm unless you play top pages on your own or stack regularly
mainly due to hidden stats + russians spamming cyrylic + invoker/sf/pudge pickers and random last pickers that dont care about team comp

When you get into very high bracket the quality of your matches will change. All of my very high skill games took at least 45 mins and were extremely balanced.
Im done with dota. No ranking system, not many of my irl friends play it anymore, mm is not good.
Started playing LOL, almost lvl 30 now. Its a whole different game tho, but once I let go of my bias and accept the facts (that it's a more complete game), its really fun, esp if you have more friends on it.
Some things that I noticed while playing League
-Map is smaller, more clashes occur frequently
-No tp scroll was actually really annoying to walk around.
-Playing support is more fun because of gold/sec items, I never had a situation where I was so poor that I couldnt afford wards.
-Meta is too standard. 1 jungle, 1 top, 1 mid, 2 bot. Not much else happens in 95% of the games
-Teamfights are a bit too chaotic. I cant tell which skills are being cast. But this is probably because I am not used to the game fully yet.
-Since you don't lose gold upon death, catching up after dying is easier. Yes, this makes the game overall easier on casuals, but it does not mean it's a bad thing. Just like your opponents, you get to catch up too.
-Similar to the above point, since your mistakes are punished less, snowballing of the other opponents are easier to stop.
-Death timers are shorter. Less time dead is not a bad thing. Just means its harder to make a game ending push.
-Level cap is smaller, 18. This game design makes for a smaller window of timing where you are significantly higher level than the opponents. I had a game where I was 16 and someone was 12, and as the game dragged on, eventually I was stuck at 18 and he was 17. tldr: less snowball i guess?
-Raxes respawn. Rewards you for stopping waves of super creeps and defending well, and punishes opponents of not ending game when they have the chance to do so.
TLDR: Long time dota player always had bias against league, (league is for kiddies, too ez game, omg league is so casual) realizes its a different game with a diff meta, and enjoys playing it. Ranking system, mm is good, and runes/masteries makes for more theorycrafting on which stats are better against what and etc.

why not address his criticisms? doesn't matter if he's good/bad; if his message contains valid points then he is correct, regardless of his skill level. he could literally be the worst dota player you've ever seen, and that wouldn't detract from his message

every single point he makes is dota lacks X then DONE whenever he makes a negative comment about LoL it always comes with a BUT X,Y,Z . Everything is opinion based so there really is no debate personally I think shitty players gravitate to LoL because they can feel special but hey that is just my opinion
mistakes are punished more in lol not less people just view it that was because you don't lose gold. thing is you snowball like a million times harder in lol that in dota, pro games 2 kills in your lane mean you autowin your lane. reason why lol is more appealing is because it slightly favors individual skill. lol uses the same ranked system as dota with some slight variation. ppl just like to stand in line with an elo system that tells them their place.
Start more new accounts, it will surely increase your MMR so that you can play better games.

I agree its mostly opinion based, but at the top of the list I said, things "I" noticed. Seems like u just dismissed me as a shitty dota player looking at my so-so stats but as any player knows, stats arent everything. Ive played dota a long ass time, but I am just not satisfied with how Dota 2 is running right now. And I just stated my opinions on Leauge based on the last 3 weeks of playing it. And idk how it would make someone feel special to move to league hah.

In dota 2 the shitty players are in the normal bracket and everyone in the bracket is the worst. In LoL because of visible rating you are never really the worst because you will see people below you and think "well at least I am not the worst". Someone posted after you asking why I didnt refute your opinions I and said it was because they are his own opinions and in your mind they are right.
Its more fun to play with friends. Try partying then go MM. Its more fun to talk to your friends in-game and talk shit to them :)

Its funny because most of the time in solo queue its been silence and no text chat the whole game... then occasionally I get a few random people who know english and have a mic and shit goes down and it's a great time. Makes it all worth it.
