General Discussiongem holders

I'm in normal bracket so maybe my opinion isnt relevent, but as support I usually buy a gem if possible and give it to someone who wont die instantly, usually a tankie hero or main carry if he's farmed enough.

The item stats show which heroes had a certain item at the end of the game. Even if the support bought it or if it is an stolen gem, the stats will go for the hero which held it in the end.

Supports may buy them, but generally speaking, you want the gem holder to be someone very hard to kill, not the 2-hit-I'm-dead hero.

The trend is kinda correlated to most played heroes.

its because ppl buy gem vs potm/weaver and then die, so they pick it, simple
