Actually, my nick is after silvers rayleigh, an anime/manga character and i think i would have it as avatar, but some friends of mine might just find it a bit confusing- thats why i diverted from that. But normally i think its nothing bad really. Im sure there are more serious matters out there than anime avatars. PLUS, everyone is entitled to their opinion and you shouldnt discuss them. Its just rude.

That aside, there are actually some anime that focus on some controversial/philosophical issues of today. I don't watch a lot of anime (in fact, I only check out some recommended by certain friends), but the anime that I do get to watch has great story and plot, and is more than the bimbo/jock stereotype you probably watch on TV/Movies.
