he is op if fed early on, he drops off later on. but he still is an annoying piece of shit, espetially if you play push heroes like prophet, bounty or antimage
won all my games vs bara this month. Don't understand whats the fuss is about.

you obviously have no idea how to play against bara.
bara is a horrible pick against AM, most damage that comes from SB is magic damage and is easily nullified by even 1 point in 3rd on AM. plus you have blink, so how can you fail?
and bara isn't THAT easy, you must know when to charge, how to charge, who to charge. i've seen people who start charging from lvl 4-5 onwards, but unless you are 120% sure you can get a kill thats a massive mistake.
Bara needs lvl 7, boots and urn ASAP.
then you go to the other extreme and farm all day long without ganking, or doing more farming than ganking.
and regarding the winrate, it's inflated because people in normal bracket don't know how to counter SB so they artificially inflate his win rate.
it's the same with drow. in normal bracket you are bound to get drow in every 3rd/4th game, but in high bracket you barely see her.
also, you know a bara is noob if he makes armlet.

False. The better the BARA players, the more likely it is that he'll win. The bash through BKB, global map presence, track invis are real advantages that can be leveraged by better players. Team fight? No problem, charge through can range stun all enemy units and heroes between Bara and the target.
Invis? No problem!
Team fight? Will do!
Solo Gank? Of course!
BKB? Not an issue.
Honestly, there are only 2 items that can help against him (barely). 1) Eul's Scepter 2) Linken
If you're not holding one of these, and not near at least 2 allies. I'm sorry, but you are already dead.
^ Annoyingly, Bara is also a Linken's counter as he can make it go off from across the map so his allies planning to gank the target don't have to worry about wasting their stun/silence/hex to break it before actually disabling it.

I do like when I have bane vs bara though. Ult him mid charge, enfeeble, mind sap, auto attack, dead bara.
I don't get why warlock's rate is so high. Yes his ult is one of the best team fight ults in the game, but his lane utility sucks besides that. If the slow was not channeled he'd be pretty nice, but as it is it's usually an invitation to attack you, a strong but long cooldown heal, spirit bonds is meh usually pushes lane early, team fight ability. If the other team simply pays attention not to stand in the demon's fire aura he's not that bad to deal with.
Hm, weird, I constantly get flamed by bara pickers for picking Outworld though. Apparently OD is a lot more OP than Bara. (?)

@Mark That "Fatal bonds is meh" mentality is precisely one of the reasons why Warlock's winrate is so high (bonds + Sanity's Eclipse/Echo Slam/Earth Splitter/Requiem = 3 or more dead opponents). That and 90% of pubs panick instead of think about getting out of Golem's range or disabling Warlock's channeling...in fact, after many games playing as him, I've seen a strikingly high amount of people wasting disables on the GOLEMS instead of warlock...
OT: There should be more ways to interrupt Bara's ulti...I mean, Huskar's ulti can be completely wasted if you manage to use a magic inmmunity piercing stun on him in mid-air. That's not true for Bara...his ulti will still proc and he will get stunned AFTER he has already crippled you...and it will last less than intended since he was "stunned" while using his ulti on you.
You know what? I can't wait for Ember Spirit to finally be introduced to Dota2 so I can do the whole "leave a remnant in fountain, insta-teleport to it when Bara ultis you so he ends up in your fountain"...it was extremely fun to do that to Huskar too.
Edit: GUYS! Look at bara's page, his overall winrate has apparently gone down all the way to 56.x% this week O.o

Oh man, I never thought about using bonds to setup a big nuke like that. Gives me a new perspective on it. But warlock is still team fight only, bonds is still very bad in lane. Warlock is not good lane support at all (until level 6 if you're willing to drop golems for lane support) which is ok if you setup the lanes right but if you pub and go with a hard carry you can get shutdown pretty easily. Anyway I agree he's a top hero, I'm just surprised he is number 1 win rate.
The way I play Warlock, I actually NEVER use bonds to harass since they provide very little damage, cost too much mana for the too little lane benefits, push too much and have a very long cooldown. I only use them in lane to bond heroes and creeps together once a gank from my team starts in my lane to provide the damage amplification. The cool thing about them is that if your target manages to get behind his tower with little health, you can "continue" the gank by attacking the bonded creeps to damage the heroes from a safe distance instead of towerdiving. I've gotten many kills like that.
He is a pubstomp (my favorite pubstomp :P) precisely because he's understimated...and I hope he always remains like that :D
In other news, Bara's overall winrate keeps getting lower. Now it's 56.11%, when last time I checked it was 56.25%...let's see if he goes the Nyx way of very slowly fading away but remaining decent or if he goes the Troll Warlord way of getting from 55% winrate to 4X% in the span of 2 months...or if he actually just gets back higher again :(

@typhox, u get flamed because you suck balls and pick OD regardless of the other picks, even if that means feeding as a miserable offlane hero
That's bullshit, I never play OD as an offlane hero, I always firstpick him so my team can adjust and then I'm open for both carrylane and mid (although in rare cases I play support OD).
@Volvo yep max bonds 1st see them die one by one when you get off your combo. Easy win and fast win.
LGD picked Bara and completely stomped TongFu just a while ago. He's been seeing a lot of pro play after TI3, so he's not simply a pub hero anymore.
