play better / get carried / create a new acc

"get carried" and "create a new account" options are not stable. You can get into High or Very High quickly but then you will get your butt kicked on a fat losing streak and be back in Normal. (If you really are a top player your smurf will stay at a high rating...but no one would be asking how to do it if they were a top player).

If you want to do it properly you need to go with "play better". For most people that means playing a small set of their best heroes...heroes they already play well enough to deserve to move up.

yea of course @Relentless but some people seem to believe they are in a "trench" with bad ppl who prevent them from climbing the brackets. my bad if he is one of those who honestly wants to get better.

Other ways :
1) Pick OP heroes.
2) Pick Huskar.
3) Pick Nyx.

Well, what you wrote was accurate. It was just not as helpful as it could have been. :-)

@S[A]m if you rely on pubstomp picks eventually you will run into people who know how to stomp those picks right back and you'll be nowhere near their skill level so you'll go off on a losing streak

It works for a while and it might even move you up a bit but all it ultimately does is make you hit a wall that you can't pass since you aren't improving

Even pro players will reach a point where their win rate doesn't go up and their MMR is stable. But by playing your best heroes you can get into games where you can develop habits, strategy, and tactics appropriate for playing against better players.

If you play only games against nubs you cannot get much beyond them because you never face a real contest. It is much faster to learn losing to better players than stomping nubs.

the real question here is why do you wanna go in higher bracket ? if u think ur games will be better u'r wrong.

The higher bracket games are better...if by better you mean things like

- have faster gameplay, where quick and accurate movement are important
- require a greater understanding of the game
- require more teamwork
- use a more diverse, more advanced set of strategies and tactics

Of course some Very High games will still have feeders, or throwers, or people who are just not up to playing at the level of the game in one way or another...but teamwork that a Very High game typically has with random players is beyond what Normal games do with a 5 stack.

If by "better" you mean easier to win...

then no, higher bracket games are harder to win.

I'll add that games in very high are more "boring" in terms of action. Playing in this bracket you rarely see say 20 kills at 10 minute. And late game there is like Defense of the Buyback 2.

I disagree. The games I have seen with the most PVP have all been Very High games on the Russian server.
