What's jacked up is how different the policy is now vs a few weeks ago. I think that caught a lot of people by surprise. The other thing that is jacked up is that if folks want to blow their reports on a single person because voted him off the island based on them just not liking the way they played, they can totally do that. It does seem like overall the impact on this has been good, but I think it's still a little to harsh.

0. I'm a silent player and the chat wheel is my friend (except if I have a team match) .If my teammates are doing something wrong, i'll just tell them not to repeat what they done. You don't know what kind of player will appear on the MM.

The system is not fail-safe. I got a 24-hour mute last week, but for the love of me cannot figure out why. I'm generally nice (though I use voice-com a lot - mostly to joke).
However, if you got to 168 hrs, you probably did something wrong. Some people need to remember that dota is a game and enjoying it above all else should be top priority. I feel so much better when I lose but it was a fun game where people laughed and had a good time than when I win and some douche in my team writes "ez" in all-chat.

I'm on my second 168 Hour Mute and I don't know why. The first time I got it, I can understand completely because I used to flame every single person who would do anything wrong. After the first 168 Hour Mute though I realized that they would just mute me if I said stupid shit so I stopped. That was 2 weeks ago, now I'm muted again and I haven't flamed anyone since then so I have no clue why I'm muted.
^ You got muted again because there is abuse going on and if you are already at the 168 hr mark its very easy to get muted again

I have found the the only way to not get muted is just click mute button every time I join a game. Oh wait, that means you won't hear when they're giving you bronze level retard advice (like running from top to bottom because 5 of them are hitting your tower and it's going to die in the next 5 seconds). I opened 30 accounts and you know what? I have a nice headset and mic, and play well, but FUCK THE TEAM. I really don't care any more. No matter if you're nice or mean -- if you play better than the team YOU WILL GET MUTED. The only solution is to do what I did -- open a bunch of accounts and the first game you have been muted, just abandon and log into another account. The mute system is COMPLETELY retarded. If you pub you WILL GET MUTED. The only people that don't get muted are those that never single queue.1

Zero. I'm playing mostly solo in regular MM, replays rated between Normal and High. I don't meet griefers but flamers are always there. Since the new system I learned to use "Mute" button and haven't used any reports myself.
