You won more than you lost, seem to have a decent game impact (regarding your best heroes and K/D/A). Why not?
Mostly because I never ever played in the very high bracket. Winrate aside, I play mid for like 90% of the games, thank god I have some impact :)
Thank you for your answer, I´d really appreciate other opinions as well.
1800 is descent in this ranking system, I think. It's not high but not low either. :D
About the percentile... I think it because the dota community's skill is not really high..
to be honest i think dbr is broken
or
there is a big fuckin difference between match maker rating and dota buff rating
Both options sound valid. If DBR fits the Dota 2 Rating system, the very high bracket contains better players than the top 2%. Otherwise DBR is calculated very different.
Last option would make me doubt DBR as i never played against the best Dota Ranking Bracket, so i can´t be called top 2 %.
The very high bracket is only top 1-1.5%.
There can be slight differences between your DBR and Valve MMR, but it won't be huge.
Diamond 1950+~ 1%
Platinum 1450-1949~ 23%
Gold 1200-1449~ 31%
Silver 900-1199~ 33%
Bronze 0-900 ~ 12%
Platinum is above gold !!! ...
"The very high bracket is only top 1-1.5%.

Thank you for the clarification!
"You are in platinum top 2%. There are gold and diamond on top of you"
Is this true? So the % applies to your current league?
Edit:
"Platinum is above gold !!! ... "
So i guess the % is independent of the league you´re rated in.
Edit 2:
So I´d only needed a 100 Rating to be in Diamond and 50-100 Rating points to get into the very high pool. This is nice to hear!
First read my post .... second ... no .... percentile applies to the whole dota 2 community !
Thank you. Also a big thanks for all the helpful answers of the community and the staff. This is by far the most helpful thread I had going for the last 2 years.
You guys just forget how many players played about 50 games (or so) year ago, or 6 months ago, and they're not playing anymore.
It's similar situation do StarCraft - I was playing with my friends and rather loosing (90% I think) but when I started play rank games it decided I should be in Plat - just bad reference ;)
I think that just the fact that you play and you're not completely terrible at the game (i.e. under 50~100 games), already makes you above the 30%~. Mainly because of the many Alternate accounts people have but barely play on, and because of all of the players that have no clue of what's happening, that being a friend of someone that plays the game and wanted to try it out, someone that has never player ARTS/RPGs in general, etc.
I have to disagree on that statement, Tharuler, since I tend to stick to Very High games when I solo-queue in the Valve matchmaking system, but got a pretty low DBR. Not that it matters, anyway, we're having fun teasing each other on Skype whenever I play with friends.
EDIT: my name's a joke, don't take it seriously.
Valve matchmaking can take more factors in account than just ranking. Games played, time in queue, what server you're queueing on, etc.
Dendi is fooling around a lot... and he looses so many games on his stream. And those supporters don't play support in publics (at least not exclusively)
3 Million Players. 2% are 60.000 Players. Am i right? Yes.
So 60.000 Players are better then you. And u want to decline that?! Lmao
"3 Million Players."
This is an interesting point. How many players are taken into account in this percentage? Are the "pending" <50 matches players in this dbr pool?
Where do you have the number from?
this post was made for sure to show us ur DBR right? right? RIGHT?
btw there's too many variables in a game like this to make an accurate value of your skill: were u with friends when playing, were u alone, were u versus a premade on other side, did u pick last forced to do solo hard lane shit with useless ally not farmin/ganking properly? ...
DBR is another useful(ish) value that help someone figure out how his skill is compared to other player, seems it works on pure win or loss considering other player's DBR, that's all (don't use kda, neither ur pick/player u were playing with), so u don't have to take it as absolute truth 'bout your skill
"this post was made for sure to show us ur DBR right? right? RIGHT?"
Wrong, this thread actually answered a lot of questions regarding dbr and the mm system. I´d recommend you to read it.
I´d still like to bump my question about the players taken into account :)
i was jocking bro (thougt the "right? right? RIGHT?" line would be taken as sarcastic) :P
dunno 'bout numbers of players, think that the pending player won't be taken into account (else even a player that loses 51 games would have 5-10% percentile or so)
Oh I´m sry, my english isn´t that good :(
It would make sense to not take them into account - are there any sources of how many accounts are tracked on dotabuff?
I'm very high when queueing and I'm only 1680. (93% percentile)
Seems legit
Laoche how can u know that? I mean u understand it from player's skill or there's another site that shows u the queue level?
You can filter your games in dota 2 client (search your last game set filter on very high ...) and i dont think that the very high bracket is only top 1-1.5%. My dbr is 1839 (97%) and almost all games when i solo que are in the very high bracket xD
this thing isn't broken, but it doesn't show your true skills too. even if u play average, u will have more DBR points and will be in higher position in ranking as long as you play with your friends who dont suck. when u play with your friends and have less noobs or no noobs in your team, your team graph looks better since no one make nooby mistakes. u win more matches than u could win by playing solo and your end game stats looks far better than average stats of that hero in dota community. think that you are playing with a carry and your support friend really supports u at lane and helps you to farm faster and better. your mid mate ganks more and helps you to free farm. your mates know how to call ss and hard lane doesnt feed. now think the opposite of this. a pro player picks carry and he has no support, no decent ganks, hard lane feeds or only some of this happens. he will have worse end game stats than u even he wins. as long as you stick to your average or pro friends, your points will go higher even than pro solo players.

It tells my i´d be in the top 2%. This seems completely wrong to me, as I do a whole lot of mistakes and never ever played a match in the very high pool besides this Halloween thing...
Just look up my profile, or watch any of my games for like one minute, you´ll know what I´m talking about.
