In low/average skill games, people always forget that his shield is a nuke as well as being a shield.

he is very similar to omni (both str with heal/dispell and radiance carriers) you cannot ignore them and its very hard to kill them. Most of te time its just about focus and kiting

High survivability and utility, a tanky offlane that can pressure the enemy safelane easily.
Has few counter.
pretty much the same reason as omni, but omni was way better this patch.
plus they are part of the offlaner that can fuck up melee safelane hard heros
Because Abaddon is one of those heroes that punish you for hitting him at the wrong time just like Bristleback, Spectre and Wraith King. That's a very good strategy to win games in 3k and below because people in those brackets dont even know where their cursor is on the screen and the only thing they know how to do in a teamfight is throw all their spells on the enemy hero closest to them and hope for the best.
Thats why all of these heroes have like +55% wr in 3k and below.
Good fight support, good push, tanky- hard to kill, don`t need much farm, can carry game if it`s needed, good talents, for him, can support your carry, can save your temmates, or deny himself. Can be played as core and support(good fro pub). And most lower mmr players don` t know how to deal with him. On top of that you wont see him gets picked much so most ppl whos know how to play with him will play him.
