Do you know what was changed? The healing stats in matches have changed dramatically and hovering over them shows what they used to be.
what is 100% counted:
-mek/gg
-urns
-vampiric auras
-direct healing spells (omni, necro, ench, dazzle, etc.)
-bs post-lethal healing
apparently truesight now has a different perception of hero healing cz i looked through some matches of plus users, and all of them have very weird HH stats. i dont even know what should be counted to explain such a high number of HH in some cases.
Hmm that's what i thought, it looks to me like any kind of regen or semi healing is counted not sure.
The API healing stat is notoriously bad: it doesn't include self-healing, most regeneration effects, and a lot of other things.
As part of a big new TrueSight feature (launching very soon, get pumped!) we now show the TrueSight healing value if available. It includes healing from virtually all sources, including tangos, salve, bottle, etc.
What's the argument against it? All types of healing (including self healing) are a helpful contribution.
well, it doesn't quite show how useful you were for your team.
let's say you are playing spectre couple of patches ago, and you have a hard lane so u decide to switch to jungle. u can either go vg/radiance build (vanguard will just block the damage u get and provide a bit of regeneration), or build mom and get damaged by creeps quite a lot, healing with vampirism. the 2nd item choice will lead to overexaggerated HH statistics, while u actualy healed no one.
also self-bottle spam on fountain seems a bit weird.
idk, somehow i just intuitively considered that HH is all about althruism and should pnly measure how much u gave to others; but as i think about it now, it shouldnt necesarilly be this way.
With self healing that just means most hh will go to husker or anyone who buys satanic
Thanks for the feedback, it's really helpful. We'll talk through it and tweak things to get the best of both worlds.
the general idea is really cool btw, cz HH not including regeneration buffs or indirect heals (ww heal, jugg's ward, etc.) was a bit misleading
We're still considering the best way to present this data, but for now we're changing this to only include healing done to teammates, excluding yourself. That should improve the accuracy of the statistic but not be too confusing or misleading.
sounds pretty good. is it still only for matches parsed with plus, or are u planning to somehow apply it to all the games?

Is there more info on the change to hero healing? I was looking at a match where I had no heal or heal items but had 1.5k heal. Does it now consider wand tangoes and such?
Thanks
