Tinker was such a bad choice imo...

First of all, Midone has played that hero only thrice in pro games in the last 12 months. So it was neither a comfort pick not a good pick objectively in that situation.

Even the casters were confident that it was a Meepo/Arc Warden last pick.

I felt like their draft collapsed. Tinker was definitely not the plan all along, you wouldn't 2nd pick an Ogre if you only have one intended bloodlust partner which is Mirana. Honestly, I feel like Secret is full of skilled players but their lucklustre performance this TI has been due to the drafts.

    Mode : TOPSON

I think its good against drow strat

      Shou

tinker isnt bad, if he plays better mid and beats gyro then secret were heavily favored
the biggest reason midone wasnt as much of a factor as they wanted him to be is because sumail destroyed him in an unfavored matchup

Wanting Midone to outperform arguably the best mid player in TI8 on a hero that he isn't comfortable? That's just pointless risk taking isn't it?

Yeah, Tinker is decent against a Drow strat. But so was Meepo/Arc Warden and they worked better with the team composition. Maybe if their lineup allowed for it, I might've agreed with Tinker.

We saw what happened that game, Bloodlust was essentially useless, providing no real benefits to Rubick, Necro and Tinker. Having their team hugely revolve around magic damage by Tinker and Necro just led to them being in a very awkward position when all 3 BKB's were picked up.

Midone played good later on and that's why that game lasted as long as it did but it just felt like... why?

Why go for a more challenging game against a favourite of TI8?

@NA+CL, like you said, they created a lineup that was heavily reliant on having a good start when there was no real need to. The lanes didn't even go that bad. They basically created this situation:

          1. Lose laning stage = lose game.
          2. Breakeven laning stage = low chance of winning.
          3. Stomp laning stage = ideal yet still need to be careful because of the damage potential of EG.

Did you guys see how much damage EG was dishing out even when they weren't opting for maximal dps items? S4 went Linkens>BKB>Heart, FULL TANK! And Gyro went a Blink Dagger. If EG was forced to purchase standard dps items, they would've still been dishing out crazy damage against a fat Team Secret.

If they only had you to draft for them...

lol, are you one of those players that go "a pro player knows what they're doing, not you"

you realize a little kid can prove an adult wrong and likewise a student can notice a teacher's mistake as well, don't you?

Even if Secret won, it would've been a result of the team playing well and NOT THE DRAFT. Which is what I'm discussing about.

If they only had you to coach them. You could have pointed out all the mistakes they made.

Bad performance puts you in the upper bracket? 🤔

                  La Joya

Im more interested about what happened in the game one, they had better draft with morph and PL kagebunshin combo but cannot utilize it well. Plus puppey and yapzor were got caught by ursa too often.

Totentanz to The King: M ...

Tinker was fine midone had an off game it happens

                      Sand1

                        they didnt play better EZ

                        Shou

tinker was a fine pick, midone is a good player, he just got outplayed and there is nothing you can really do abt it other than move on

                          Armanos

Midone had that one instance where he Boots of traveled on a creep that literally in the MIDDLE of the fight so he got caught.

                            turing

i think tinker better than meepo/arc warden against EG draft. ogre was a bit wasted, i think shadow shaman wouldve been better for 2disables and extra push which tinker struggles with. or even lion for 2disables and extra burst dmg. i noticed sumail couriers more regen than midone which allows him to sustain and be more aggresive leading to sumail controlling lane and coming online quicker. midone prioritised catching up in farm when sumail went to gank and so if hes not willing to help, his team shouldve been expecting it, yet sumail still managed to put a lot of pressure on secrets safelane. i personally dont think bkb was a good buy on tinker because its not really going to save u if u get jumped on from blink gyro, mobile weaver or shadowblade drow because of their damage output. shiva also not a good buy, if you get caught out as tinker you just die to the dmg, so i think he couldve prioritised hex to have more control, into a dagon to synergise with necro, break weaver linken, and obviously to have more dmg

The issue was that secret could not destroy the ancient.

                                Jacked

No it’s because he tp to the creep and the creep wave starting walking toward the entire enemy team and he got caught and died. What a newb lul
